I'm a bit of a photo nut, and love taking my trusty Canon 5D and my BBL (Big Bag of Lenses) to the parks, but every few years I declare it a "video" trip, and shoot film instead of pictures. This is such a year.
However, it is nice to have a P&S to supplement my video work. My current P&S is a Canon SD1200 which is nice, but doesn't overwhelm me. Specifically, I want something that does reasonably good lowlight, has a really fast startup time, and has great color to capture the sights.
Anyone have any specific new models they would recommend ?
Added bonus would be a serviceable HD video capture mode (at least in bursts) to supplement my HV30, and a sub $250 price tag.
