Tell me about it!!! What should be absolutley buy and not leave without?! We can't wait! 52 more days till our WDW/Cruise Line dream 1 year anniversary vacation. Yipppppeeeeeee!!

What do you want? There is a large assortment of merchandise that you can only buy on the ship. Same for Castaway Cay. Pins? t-shirts? jewelry? Mickey jewelry with precious stones? Do you want to spend $30 or $3000?

Just remember to buy it when you see it. It may be gone by the next time you stop by the gift shops. Yes, they keep stock in the back somewhere, but we have seen popular items sell out.

I am not sure if I had anything in mind. I am sure we would get a shirt or so..but frames, and maybe collectible items. I was more concerned with what people regretted they didn't buy and the Must have's! I love to broswe down there and usually only come back with little trinkets. Thanks everyone!

A must buy for me was the propellor clock that is the same as the one you have in your stateroom. Every time I look at it I think of happy memories of our cruise. I also purchased a large DCL photo album. One thing I regret not getting is the model of the Magic. Many people were buying them and having them signed by the captain on the last day of our cruise during a special signing session in the shop. That would have been a nice momento, but the line was really long and my DD was impatient. Next year when we go again, I will make a point of being there early and getting a signed model.

I would like to get a nice ring, maybe with the Mickey ears icon, or something Disney of course. Maybe just gold, although precious stones might be nice too. Do they have anything like that, that I should be saving for?

I spent way too much money in their gift shops. But I love everything I got. I got the ship model (for my son, but we love it on the mantle), magnet, coffee mug, Xmas ornament, tshirts (matched all 5 of us), sweatshirt and pins. Oh, and if you end up loving Castaway Cay, which I know you will, you HAVE to visit that shop! They have everything with the CC logo on it, and you can't buy it anywhere else. Spent way too much money there too, lol. But I thought we weren't coming back anytime soon. We got home from our 4 day cruise....2 weeks later I booked our first 7 day for next June. Who knew? I love to shop! They knew me by day two there.

Do they have a nice pic frame with the ship on it? We have the wood one from MK with the castle and one from AK with the tree of life craved out at the top. I would love a wood one with the ship carved out. Anything like this?

Also does CC have pic frames too?

If you are going to use Credit Cards, make sure you contact the CC company before you leave and let them know. Otherwise they may put a hold on your card due to "out of the country useage".

I do it anyway, just in case we use our card.

I purchased 3 of the wish pearl necklaces for some young girls at home. They come with a sterling silver chain and the pearl holder that slides on the chain. They have either a rose, lotus flower, dolphin, mickey or minnie. You get a real oyster shell that you "make a wish" on, then open it to retrieve your pearl. They have a chart of the different colors of pearls that you might get, from white color to lavender and they each have different meanings, ie: wisdom, health, etc. They were $29 each. I thought they were really unique and the girls loved them.
