I can't find a definitive answer to this question:
I don't remember doing this, but DH swears that a few years ago, he got a shopper's pass to go into one of the parks and buy something. A couple websites mention paying a 'deposit' (really a one-day park ticket) at Guest Relations outside a park, and say they'll give a full refund if you return within one hour (enough time to run in and buy something). (For example: http://www.orlandovacation.com/planning-help/shopping-dining/disney-shopping-pass/.) I don't know if this is out-of-date information (posters on a forum on another website seem to think the shopper's pass is an urban legend, but DH swears he's used it before). Is this still a thing?
