Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

Love the red flats!!!

There's nothing like a pair of nice red shoes to put a spring in your step!! :thumbsup2

I can't imagine wearing those huge boots in Florida. It was only about 55-60 degrees here today and I'm still in my flip-flops! The day that I need to start wearing socks and real shoes is the worst day of the year for me. You're used to warmer weather in the winter than I am, right?

I am extreme, even for a Southerner. My friends all get tickled with my ways. I will have my heater going in the summer. :lmao:

However, I am such a flip flop girl!!! Socks and real shoes gross me out, too. In the winter (when I'm mostly inside and at the mercy of my heater) I still wear flip flops, alot.

:lmao: :rotfl:
That's great! I never though of a jack russell as a baby pony!

I'm glad I came over from the snowbird thread this is great!

Oh yes, our quote for that picture is "Daddy, I want a pony!" It still cracks us up.

Oh I love the idea of Uggs for Disney! I grew up in southern California at the beach, and just LIVED in my boots. It was 70'ish here today too and I was walking around with my leopard print scarf over my shoulders... Uggs sound perfect!

Thank you! I'm glad you are on my side.:thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm sure I will feel FABULOUS in them!princess:

LOVE your PTR so far!!! Beautiful wedding pics. DH and I have been married for going on 17 years, and I cannot for the LIFE of me drag him anywhere near Disney! (He said he went once, and despises lines)

Love the tops you've found! The pics. of your baby are so sweet too!!! Can't wait to hear more!

It’s 3-2-1 Day!!!

3 months, 2 weeks, 1 day

September is flying by!

So far I’ve covered our dinner plans for nights one and two. I’m going to skip a lengthy description on night 3, which is the HoopDeeDoo. I’ve already posted my Cowgirl Wear (page 3, post 37) and I really don’t get to choose from a menu, so that’s no fun. :rolleyes1 However, I will say that this Southern Sister WILL be chowing down on the fried chicken. :thumbsup2
I think it’s SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! Yeehaw!

Now… let’s get a little more refined.:snooty:

On our 4th evening we will be making a visit to the tip top of the Contemporary to dine at the California Grill.

I found this emerald green top and I love it, but haven’t purchased it because I don’t normally wear anything this risque’. I live by a strict no-cleavage policy. I do want to wear something that screams ‘hot mama’ to DH, because now that I am a mama I find myself being less than hot most of the time. Can anyone say spit up, drool and spaghetti in the hair? Seriously, I went through a whole day last week with curdled milk in my hair.

Okay, now that I’ve ruined your appetite, let’s talk food.

Here’s where I need your help, fellow Disser’s.

You get the chance to help me pick my meal.

Hey fellow snowbird! :wave2:
Just wear a lacy white tank underneath. Then you'll be a super hot-and-classy mama  Love the shirt by the way!

I love your PTR! I found it over on the January 2009 thread. You have a beautiful family! I truly enjoy all of your great pictures and all of you purchases. It just gets me even more excited for our Jan trip! Keep the posts coming!

Haha! I'm such a cami girl! I think I might try some double stick tape with this top.

Thanks! January is getting so close!

Hey girl! Great updates!

hmmm....I never thought about bringing Uggs to Disney...:scratchin They are very comfy! :lovestruc

The California Grill sounds incredibly yummy -- I so want to go there someday!! The lobster bisque and the ravioli sound so good, but then again if anything has the word "avocado" in the description, it always gets my vote! :rotfl:

Found your PTR and laughed thru it.... love the photos of Belleprincess: .... you are too funny.... heat on when it is 70 degrees.:lmao: ...... when we leave to head to the World in January the average temp where we live should be about 15 degrees.... we usually have over 200 inches of snow up here...:scared1: ... good for those in my family that ski..... bad for the back moving all that snow.... we are not heat people... get really stressed when it is over 85 degrees... we run for the mall.....

Making my way over from the Snowbirds to enjoy your shopping adventures and PTR. Loving it so far. Your pictures are fantastic.

I can't believe you're cold at 70. You'd be miserable in PA! It's 50 right now and we have our windows thrown wide open!

Just had to add to the weather comments! I am from hot & humid southeast Texas and I despise the heat!! Man-it gets sticky-sweaty-hot here. This summer didn't seem as hot for some reason, but it was still in the 100's. I loooove the cool weather. That's one reason we opt for Disney in Jan. It really feels great to me at about 70!! AAHHH and those cool nights:goodvibes , I loooooove it!!!

Are Uggs really warm? I had never heard of them til this past winter--obviously no one here wears them. Not anyone I know anyway. I don't even know if I spelled those right? They look comfy, but are they going to make a hot natured girl like me even hotter?

My computer has been down for two weeks (withdrawals!!!) and I just got the chance to catch up..love all the new stuff and the meal plans. We're eating in Le Cellair in December for our first time and we can't wait!! Your menu sounds delish!!!!! :goodvibes

The ravioli is divine!!! (In my humble and certainly un-gourmet opinion.) We split it on our Honeymoon.

You would not like Louisiana. My best friend came down to visit (from up-state NY) in August of all months! The AC in my car was broken. She thought I was trying to kill her.

Uggs are very warm. I especially like to wear them to Youth Camp in the winter. I can run in them. (We have silly competitions where running is involved...ugh, makes me show my age!) Not that you would do alot of running at Disney (unless you are the kind to pound people at park opening).

Just popped in to say "Hi" :wave2: and to let you know that I love your PTR! Keep up the good work! Glad you're feeling a bit better!

Thanks, Trixie! Can you just move down for the month of January so we can all hang out with you?

OMG, we would all have so much fun! I don't think your DH would really want you hanging out with me, though, seeing as it is your second honeymoon and all!

I am finally back to having some time where I can sit and catch up on your ptr. With the storm, getting back into the swing of things after being out of school for two weeks, repairs to the house, and Cooper (DS2) and I being sick, it has been a madhouse here.

I'll be reading over the next day or so to catch up from where I left after checking in post-Gustav.

Can't wait to see what you have been up to.
