SHOP Disney Outlet live.***OVER** still can shop on site

Hm does the person give any information about them?

I love the outlets and shop them all the time but from the photos it looks more like this I from the Cast Member stores which is against company policy to sell the products from.

Do they provide you with the receipt of purchase?

Just wondering because if it really is from the real outlets I might suggest this to some friend but if there is no receipt from point of sale then I'm worried it is a CM trying to make some extra cash.

Thanks for sharing! I just ordered several things at GREAT prices. Well worth the 30% fee in my opinion.
:goodvibes

I had fun shopping with them today - still cheaper than the park:) I rarely get to WDW so this was a great way to get some fun stuff - and when I do I no longer get a car so I can't really get to the outlet myself.
Me too!

I am sure all the information you can find on their site. I do not think this is a cast member.it is a personal shopper;)

Thanks! I do not think 30% charge is bad considering the items are already heavily discounted, and they don't charge shipping fees. I know that I could visit when I am down there but the selection is always changing, and I always have a limited amount that I can pack. This is a great way to scoop up gifts, I used to live in Florida and honestly miss this store.

I think I will add this store to my bucket list. But, until then I agree...30% was worth it to me. I got some really nice things that I have never seen before and still ended up saving money:cheer2:

Can I ask where this store is please? Thanks

Thanks :thumbsup2 actually before you answered me I went back to the original link and found it, its a Disney Store in St Augustine thanks for your answer though (hmm wonder how far that is from me will have to check)

Just to re-iterate...there are TWO Disney Character Wearhouse outlets in the Orlando area. You do not have to drive up to St. Augustine (though it's a fabulous place to visit).

One is in the Premium Outlet mall across I-4 from Crossroads Plaza and Downtown Disney on Vineland Ave.

The other is in the Premium Outlet mall on International Drive down by Universal Studios and Wet and Wild.

They are both Disney owned, staffed by cast members, and already have the RFID payment readers installed (not working yet, but it's coming).

Got it thanks have been to both ( those outlets) but they never have the amount of stuff that I saw when I clicked onto the link that was in beginning of this thread.( the Disney Store) ..might make a nice day trip for me :thumbsup2

You can also just call the outlet yourself and have the items shipped to you and avoid the 30% fee. Also they are probably making 40% in actually as they have always given me a 10% discount when I shop at any of the outlet stores.

If you have a car, all of these items are available at one of two "Character Warehouse" outlets in the WDW area. These are Disney-owned outlet stores. One is in the Premium Outlet Mall just on the other side of I-4 from Crossroads-just a hop, skip and a jump from Downtown Disney. The other (a bit bigger and I think with significantly more merchandise) is at the Orlando Premium outlet on International Drive. It is a HAUL to get there, but there are some very good outlet stores there including North Face and Dooney & Bourke.

We always try to stop there first before buying things at WDW. You'll find lots of good stuff, including dated items at low prices. I've even found some things at the outlet store that were still full price at WDW resort stores! This is the kind of place you have to keep going back to, as merchandise changes rapidly. If you see something you like, buy it...chances are it won't be there when you go back.

I was at both outlets in Orlando that you mention during my Disney holiday last week of March. Didn't find anything I needed.

The St Augustine outlet store had many more things and always has better prices - that's just my opinion. If you drive and can stop there, it's worth checking out. I can usually get a lot of shopping done there. The store seems to be about twice as big as the ones near Disney.

Plus the discount using Disney visa and getting double points.

All very helpful advice thank you :cool1:

The outlet stores are really kind of hit or miss...I sometimes find plenty of great things, sometimes not-guess it depends on what you are looking for.

I'd like to visit the St. Augustine store. We always have a car when we visit Orlando, but while we can usually find a couple hours to hit the outlets, we normally don't want to take any more time than that away from park or resort time. A round trip to St. Augustine (200 miles) is going to eat up too much of a day just to visit an outlet store...if we go we'll definitely just plan to spend part of the day in St. Augustine, then drive down the coast to Daytona Beach, see the ocean, then head back to Orlando. That would be a nice loop, but would need the lion's share of day to do.

I probably wouldn't take a day out of a Disney vacation just to drive to the St Augustine Disney outlet. I pass by it on my way so it's a quick stop for me.

However, if you were interested in the St Augustine area and all the history plus a beach visit, it would make an interesting side trip. It could be a fun overnight, rather then wasting an expensive Disney room night. In addition to the two outlet malls - one on each side of I-95, there is a Camping World store. If I remember correctly, the town of St Augustine (where the fort is etc) and the beach are about 6 or 7 miles east of the outlets.

Regarding the part I took the liberty of bolding, did you mean they don't charge a handling fee, because they do charge for shipping.

From the terms:

"Price of the actual item(s) + a 30% Service Charge (minimum $8.00), and Actual Shipping Cost to mail the item(s)."
and
"Please note: As a service we are not responsible for PayPal fees you may incur from using your payment method. Please send payments so that No Fees are taken out of the amount we receive."

I realize this particular shopping event is over, but I'm sure there will be others, so just so no one is surprised by a higher total than they were expecting...

This shopping service adds a 30% fee to the price of the item. You are also responsible for sales tax and shipping fees and if you choose to use your cc through paypal and/or send money as a payment instead of as a gift you are responsible for pp fees as well.

My opinion only; but if you're going to do the personal shopping thing as a business, which this clearly is, suck it up and cover pp fees out of your profits!

I'm not trying to be negative OP. I know many people appreciate the Disney personal shopping services. I just think it's a good idea to know exactly what you'll be paying and weigh that against other options.

I know Disney charges crazy high shipping fees when they send things from the parks, but they don't charge tax on most out of state shipments, so it tends to balance out. I don't know if the same is true at the outlets, but it might be worth looking into.

BTW, I wish the Disney outlet near me was this good. Unfortunately mine is very hit and miss, and mostly miss IMO.

Thanks for pointing that out, I clearly missed that when I read the terms (not sure how). I agree that the should absorb the pp fees or the tax because like you said Disney doesn't charge tax when shipped out of state. I get that what they are doing has to be a lot of work but they are making a pretty penny 30% charge+ 10% off merchandise + credit card rewards. Although all of that income going in and out of bank accounts on credit cards may throw up a red flag with the IRS. My friend is refinancing his house and one of the things they said was that they transferred a lot of money between his and his wife's accounts, they needed to explain pretty much everything. I hope the people doing this thought of that.

We were actually at the store when they were shopping. It was at the Character Premiere in St Augustine. The prices they posted were the same as the store prices but then you paid the 30% and shipping.
