Shooting Osborne Lights

I'm looking for some help from the experts! I have a Canon S5 IS and I want to take some nice photos of the Osborne Lights next month. I'm a newbie on photography so if someone can tell me which settings would be perfect for this I would appreciate so much!

You can use any number of settings to get the exposure, but the biggest tip I can offer is to use a tripod.
