Shooting in Omaha, NE

Today around 2 PM in Omaha there was a horrific mall shooting at Westroads Mall inside Von Maur. 9 people have died (including the gunman) and 5 people are injured. I just wanted to ask for your prayers for these families who have lost loved ones during the start of our holiday season, and in hopes of investigators figuring out just what happened today at Westroads. The news story can currently be found on the front page of Yahoo!.

Here is just a quick recap of what happened today:
1:42P active shooter call
6 minutes later - police arrive
2 hours later - 9 people confirmed dead. Shooter shot himself. Robert A. Hawkins shot himself and was the shooter. Hawkins mother brought what apperared to be a suicide note saying that he was "going to go out with a bang".

Well, i live around here and westroads is pratically my home. I was shocked and sadened at the news. It seems so unreal that something so close to my home was involved in something so terrible. I recently talked to my cousin and he said that he was pratically going to Westroads to hang out when it happened. If the killer waited only a couple of minutes. Its amazing how sick some people are.

i watched it on the news today and was like omg i gotta call pics but don was at work with your number im glad to see your ok its so sad i was in tears bc it could have been anyones family and so close to christmas i will think about all the families that have lost a loved one this year my best friend died october 4th my moms best friend was diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago he can never talk again and my brothers teachers daughter was killed in a car accident here in columbus 2 days ago suns grandfather and tazs friends so much to think about and wish the best for all the families
