Shogun Combination Plate - Japan

Has anyone else noticed that they changed the Shogun Combination at the Yakitori House in Japan at EPCOT? They replaced the Beef (Kind of like Pot Roast) with Green Beans! Yuk! Just my opinion, but I always loved the beef. I asked the servers at the counter and yes they changed it. We went in may and it was as good as ever. I was totally disappointed. I hope they change it back. I sent an email to guest communications about it. Probably doesn't hold mch water in light of all the other cutbacks at WDW. Green beans are probably cheaper than beef. I know they are healthier, but already had other dished with vegetables. I am a meat/potato/rice kind of guy and loved this dish. Oh well, no more Japan for me!

That's weird that they changed it- is the price the same?

I ate there in October and didn't care for the taste/marinade of the beef and usually I love this type of food. The green beans would be a plus for me, but only if the price was reduced. Otherwise that is a rip off!

Oh...well then that is totally lame. When we ate there, it seemed everyone in the restaurant was eating the Shogun- I bet they won't get as much business now!

I just got this last week and the Shogun had chicken, beef, rice and green beans...

Our shogun combo back in October had chicken, beef, rice, and edame. Are you all sure you had green beans and not soy beans?

Hmmmm.maybe they replaced the soy beans with green beans!? That would seem to be a smarter move.

Whatever they were they were green and they were beans but I didn't eat them because they were too crunchy.

Either way, it still had the beef.

No Beef in November. Just long Green Vegetables, Chicken and Boiled WHite Rice.

Maybe they had complaints betweem November and now? All I know is last Tuesday that's what I got there and it had the beef with it and it was presented on the menu that way as well. Let's just hope that what happened the day you were there is a fluke and that it's back to normal now.

I hope so. I am going back in May and would love to have the "old" Shogun back.
