We are driving to Disney right now! In all of my wonderful planning and prepping I left more than half of my family's shoes in our dryer at home!! Any tips on where to go and buy some once we arrive?? I'm looking for cheaper because it'll have to come our of my spending money :(

Driving from where? Your best bet is to hit an Academy Sports or Bass Pro along the way and buy some amphibious sport sandals. They are far and away the best shoes to wear in the parks, so if you have to buy, buy the best shoe for the purpose.

The very best brands will be expensive, but both of these chains carry house-brand alternatives that are quite good.

Whatever you do, I make this mistake every darn trip....do comfortable, NOT cute! Since I don't follow my own advice, I develop blisters after a couple days. :thumbsup2 No flip flops, lol.

Ugh. That stinks OP! I would hate to have to be breaking in a new pair of shoes in the park, no matter the brand or style. I would suggest that you also make sure to have stuff for blisters.

Oh, and I have worn the sports sandals in the parks and they have torn my feet up.

Oh, i am, so sorry. Stop ASAP. I also like Academy Sports but no way would I go cheap, and really, I would consider two pairs for each one. What you like varies so much. We go off season and wear tennis shoes for the most part, but like crocks for wet times too. We always break new shoes in well but Tevis wear pretty well from the start if you choose saddles and a brand called sarcomy tennis shoes are supper comfortable from the start.

I'll go against the grain a little. I wore cheap Old Navy flip flops everyday (6 park days) and had no problems, I spend all summer either barefoot or in flip flops so that is what I am used to and comfortable with. Might be different for others. My daughter's were fine in flip flops or Pay Less Sandals (we actually switched to flip flops when the sandals left a mark on my oldest's heel).
The closest Old Navy to Disney is:
15661 S Apopka Vineland Rd
Orlando, FL 32821

I can't quite tell on the map if these are closer
4018 Conroy Rd
Orlando, FL 32839

8001 S Orange Blossom Trail #1214
Orlando, FL 32809

Pay Less:
6600 International Dr
Orlando, FL 32819

There may be a Crocs Outlet in the Orlando Premium Outlet Center right near Lake Buena Vista exit off of I-4 (you can see it from the freeway). There's also a Walmart Supercenter down the same street approximately four miles down the road for cheap flip flops, socks, etc.

:)
