Shoes!!

I am looking for good and comfy shoes for my family for our upcoming WDW trip. Does anyone have any good ideas for kids and adult shoes?

I'm partial to Tevas. I have arthritis and it's the worst in my feet. Tevas are the only shoes that don't kill my feet. Even last summer when I was 9 months pregnant. They offer great support and double as water shoes.

For my 4 year old DD I prefer Keens. They also offer great support, double as water shoes (so no need to carry extra) and they are closed toed to offer her a little more protection.

our family does not like wearing sneakers/socks when it's hot.

I wear Pirvo flip flops mostly - i alternate between a few pairs during the trip to keep my feet more comfy.

the boys wear keen sandals, etc. crocs, too- since they are in the stroller a lot it's not that important that they hvae super great shoes.

I buy a new pair of Crocs for my family each time we go and we haven't had any problems out of them. I'm not opposed to giving other brands a shot. (Keen)

Dh and I both wear Sanuk's usually when we go and also bring croc sandals too. Both the kids have a couple of pairs of crocs and running shoes(Van's) that they switch out through the week. DD is a little fashionista and gets upset if her shoes dont match. So I do end up bringing a few pairs of shoes for her. Luckily she's got little feet and they dont take up too much room.

Everyone in my family is different, I don't think there is one "right" answer.

I prefer Merrell, that is my brand. I have a pair of Siren Syncs (well, I get a new pair every year) and wear those with wicking socks. They are light weight and are pretty breathable so my feet don't get hot. I do bring a pair of sandals that I wear every few days.

Dh wears Keen sandals everyday.

Older dd (13) wears Merrell shoes like mine or Keens.

Younger dd (10) wears whatever tennies she likes that year (usually based on color - but she won't wear anything uncomfortable) this year I just bought her a pair of Asics. Or she will wear Chaco sandals.

I love my new balance. last year the kids wore nike sandals, this year they will wear new balance

DH and DS wear their runners with socks. DS used to wear his crocs, but he developed a blister last year so we will be sticking with the runners this year. Although, I did buy him a pair of shoes that look like the Keens from WalMart. I hope he'll be able to wear those.

I have the worst luck with shoes. I hate socks and shoes when it's hot, so I tried broken in Dr Scholls sandals and a pair of Ryka Desire last year. My legs were killing me. My feet were ok, and my legs were fine the day after, but at one point in Epcot I thought they'd have to carry me out on a stretcher!

I decided I needed more support, so I'm going with Reebok Smoothflex this year. We're going in April this time, so it won't be as hot/humid as the beginning of October. I hope they work! I've already bought/returned 4 pairs of shoes in my quest for great Disney ones. My coworkers think I'm crazy!

My daughter wears either crocs or keens. My dog wears sneakers and I normally wear tevas, sneakers or my reef sandals. Just depends on my mood I guess.

I think you should stick with whatever shoes you guys would normally wear if you are going to be walking a lot. The last thing you want is to have foot pain or blisters from wearing a new type of shoes, whether you break them in or not.

I wear Skechers go walks. They're great! I HATE socks and they're made to wear without socks (I just throw mine in the wash every week or so). I work retail and wear these to work daily also.

My daughter is a fashionista so she wore yellowbox flip flops the last trip.

We just bought these Nike Athletic Sandals for our 2 year olds for our trip.

For me I think I'm going to wear my Merrell barefoot shoes

Thanks guys! I ended up getting me and one kid crocks. But man they tore up our feet. And got one kid buster brown shoes and the hubby got running shoes.
