Shoes??

I like my Skechers slip-on style - kind of a cross between a sandal and a sneaker. More foot support for lots of walking than sandals, but not as hot as sneakers. Plus they'd look OK with a sundress.

I used to wear Teva Mush flip flops, good running shoes, or a good sport sandal. However, I badly broke my leg just a few inches above my ankle last year and can't walk very much without the support of my running shoes now. My ankle hurts too much. So I guess I'll be the dorky looking tourist with running shoes on no matter what clothes I'm wearing. At least this will be true in Disney. I can still be somewhat fashion conscious when less walking is involved. If you have healthy ankles some really comfy and well broken in flip flops should be okay and look cute with sundresses.

O just got some Chacos that are very comfortable and relatively cute with my sundresses (better than Crocs, in my humble opinion). And I believe they are designed for hiking. Can't wait to wear them at the World!

The most comfortable shoe ever made is the Teva Mush flip flop. I go to WDW four-six times a year and at least two pair of Teva Mush go with me every trip. Those are the shoes I usually wind up in.

The only shoes I wear in the parks are Naot, Jessica style.

Amazing support, very little break in, last forever. The footbed is similar to Birkenstocks but much softer. After I bought my first pair, the only time I didn't wear them over the next three years was when it was too cold for open shoes (not very often where I live). I replaced them last year, so i'm good to go until 2011 (there's nothing wrong with the old pair and I still wear them around home--they just don't look as nice as I like for travel) :goodvibes

My DBF had surgery on a herniated disc in his low back a few years ago, and a fusion in his neck 2 years ago, so as you can imagine, he requires proper support to work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and walk all day at the WDW parks. He swears by Asics running shoes. They're not too expensive (65 bucks) and we both bought a new pair for our upcoming trip. We walk for an hour a few times a week to get them broken into.

Another vote for NAOT. I wear the red patent Kayla. http://www.leathersandals.com/naot_shoes/7806.html
I like having the strap and I find it goes with everything.
I have had two pairs of shoes in my life that did not need breaking in and this is one of them.

I have Kaylas, too (in pewter or bronze I think), plus about 8 more pair. They're all awesome :goodvibes My entire shoe wardrobe consists of 10-12 pair of Naots, two pair of tennis shoes, one pair of boots, two pair of semi-dress shoes, and slippers :thumbsup2
