Packing light this trip. We will not be checking any luggage.

Are we allowed to pack extra shoes in our carry-on?

Thank you!

I did. I packed everything I needed for the first 24 hours in my carry on which meant I needed my flip flops (my park shoes) but I wanted to wear socks and sneakers on the plane.

Not sure why shoes would be a problem in carryon luggage in the first place, but www.ta.gov should help.

I think maybe the question came up because you have to take off your shoes for security - but the shoes you're wearing go through the scanner and so do the shoes in your bag, so it's all good.

OP here, Thanks so much for all the replies!

In the past, we put extra shoes in the checked luggage. Yes, I was concerned because they make you take your shoes off for security. It does make sense that they're okay because they go through the scanner.

:thanks:
