Since the temperature seems to fluctuate so much in February would wearing sandals be a bad idea b/c I can easily imagine cool nights and cold feet..then again wearing my running shoes just does not seem appealing to me. Any suggestions from ppl. who have been in February? THanks!

Personally, I never pass up an opportunity to wear sandals. I live in Chicago, so the cold feet things doesn't scare me. I say wear the sandals.

.
My DW and I go the last week of January each year and you are right about the temperature. We have gone the whole trip in Berks and other years we are wearing wool socks in our sneakers. I would recommend that you rent a locker and keep your running shoes handy just in case the temp drops a little to low for comfort.

My whole family and I wore running/walking shoes to the parks. I could not believe all the people in flip flops and sandals. We had some really cool weather. One day I wore those silk knee highs under my socks and was glad I had them. Of course, I'm from TX. I also don't think any other kind of shoes are safe getting on and off rides and walking on wet pavement, etc. Imagine a strap or the side of a sandal getting caught on those moving walkways they have on rides like the Haunted Mansion. It's tennies all the way for me. Just put some baby powder in your socks and you'll be nice and comfy. ;)

Id bring a pair of each. We went last year in Feb and I had sandals and my feet froze. Id have probably tolerated the flux in Temp if my toes hadnt been cold.

We were just there from Feb. 5 - 12. I brought 3 pairs of Berks and 1 pair of sneakers. I wore the sneakers once the whole time we were there. I always bring my sneakers just in case we get rain. God luck and have a great trip.

I'm also bring a pair of tennis shoes and sandles. You never know what they weather will be like and sandles are usually easy to pack.

We just got back and I wore both. When the temps were hitting in the mid-seventies in the afternoons, I easily still got away with sandals in the evenings. But when we had a few lows of 40s and even a 35, runners were better, lol.

I'd bring them both with me. Check the weather each morning before heading out for the day. Have fun. :smooth:
