Imelda Marcos I am NOT. I don't like shoes, probably because I have to wear heels a lot at work. What do most people wear on the ship (NOT to dinner, but during the normal course of the day.) I love my Birkenstocks, probably better than tennis shoes. I also have some dressier type of, well, flip flops for lack of a better description. My son will have to be checked before leaving the room each time to be sure that he is actually wearing shoes -- for instance, at Beach Club he thought since we were heading for the pool eventually that shoes were unnecessary.

And would a cotton, very bright floral knee length dress be okay for dinner at Animator's and/or Parrot Cay? (I sure hope so since we leave for the airport in two hours and I don't have anything else readily available to pack without packing yet another pair of stupid dress shoes!)

Wear whatever shoes you feel comfy in throughout the day - the only real dress code that exists is the dining room one.

As for the dress - sounds fine to me :)

I wore sneakers almost all the time because we spent so much time going from one place to another and taking the stair. You will see everything so just wear what you are comfortable in.

People don't get too dressed up for dinners, except when necessary. Your dress will be perfect.

you're already cruising i assume, so this is after the fact...
but on the 3 day wonder cruise we were on, i wore my birkenstocks the entire time, including to dinner in all 3 restaurants....

Actually, disneyholic, I am sitting in our room at the Radisson at the Port. Our ship sails tomorrow! I wore my Birkenstocks for the trip down, and plan to wear them most of the time. I have my less comfy but cute black shoes for dinner and will probably wear the flip flops to the beach.

Why do I not feel like I will get any sleep tonight?

if you see this, have a GREAT time!!
i think i may have worn my "dressy' sandals on the first night and then came to my senses and opted for comfort on the other two nights...
i am quite sure no one was looking at my feet at any time...
it's not exactly a fashion show sort of cruise...
