Shoe question

We are heading to WDW in mid June and I know the temps are going to be very hot. My boys will be 8, 5, and 14 months old. I was wondering what type of shoes would be best for them to wear. I want them to be as cool as possible but I also don't want them to have sore feet. Any suggestions??? I thought about sandals but I know how sometimes they can cause blisters and then I thought that maybe tennis shoes would be too hot. They will have access to strollers at which they won't have to walk all the time but I know they will walk some (the two older ones). What does everyone think?

Even with stroller availability, they will do alot of walking. I would still go with sneakers and socks. Take a couple pair and alternate each day.

That is what I have my boys do. I take two pairs of sneakers for each of them and have them switch each day. Don't forget the moleskin too!

Like his parents, DS does Disney in sports sandals (the sort made for outdoor adventure wear, not street sandals.) I've been able to find nice brands at Marshall's for next to nothing several times, and he's never gotten blisters in any pair he's had.

Best of all, he can play in every fountain he sees and not cut his feet. He had an incident at about 18 mos when he cut his foot rather badly on a fountain nozzle that was sticking up out of the ground a bit too far (this did not happen at WDW, but I'm paranoid now.)

He has always hated wearing socks, anyway, and he prefers the sandals to all other shoes. I suspect that as he gets older, he'll be wearing them any time it isn't snowing out!
