I know alot of folks on here say they like their Tevas. I personally wear flip-flops all summer long and didn't have a problem with wearing them at Disney. I did have my sneakers along with, but never needed to change into them. I think it all depends on what you are used to wearing for long periods of time.

If you want some kind of sandal, look at teva or chaco. Chaco is a lot like teva but the straps wrap aroung your foot and are totally adjustable. I switch between my chaco's and tennis shoes.

Well I do wear sandals all summer,,but in the parks a wear a walking shoe (sneaker) I have a pair of PF FLYERS,,that will NOT make one more trip  LOL,,I heard NEW BALANCE was good,,I can't find my PF FLYERS any more :confused3 ,,,so Iwas just wondering what others have found works for a FULL day or 2 or 3 or... :earboy2: LOL at the parks,,THANKS!!

Well I went to the World May 5th, 6th 7th and after our cruise on the 12th, 13th, 14th & 15th and I too wore my flip flops the whole time but what a mistake that was!!! I don't know what happened but I usually wear a combination of flip flops and sneakers but this trip all I wore was the flip flops and on our return, my lower legs were sooo swollen. I was in so much pain because the natural bend of my ankle wasn't happening anymore that it ruined most of my return trip :sad1: I had saved some things to do on our return and here I was contemplating renting one of those motorized wheelchairs. Just wear sneakers during the day and alternate with flip flops or comfortable sandals. Good luck!

I too wear sandals all summer and everytime I go to disney. Also, you have to consider if your feet were to get wet, from rain or a certain ride, you probably don't want to walk around in soaking wet tennis shoes all day. Just find a good sandal with good support, i.e. reef, teva, sanuk, born etc.

When I was looking for sneakers, everyone was suggesting New Balance ones. I have to say I got them and I LOVE them they're the only ones I've taken to Disney and didn't get a single blister.

The other shoes everyone raves about are Crocs, if you want more of a sandle/flip flop type shoe.

I have an old pair of NB that I hope will make it for our trip in Oct.

I could not find a new pair I liked as well, the design is just different for the walking shoe.

We have them all over but some stores are limited to styles.

Hope you find the perfect pair :cool1:

I like wearing sandals at WDW, and I found the Merrell walking sandals to be awesome. I just bought a 2nd pair so I could alternate them on our upcoming trip. I like the Bellaluna III the best, but other styles may work for you too. They are light weight and dry fairly quickly when they get wet.

Crocs! I bought a pair on advice from these boards- I htought they were ugly at first but figured I could wear them around the garden if I didn't love them--I LOVE them!!! I wear them everyday! I usually wear flip-flops all summer but I haven't touched mine since buying the crocs. I got them at my local mall at a hallmark store. Check the website!

We just ordered some Keen Newport sandals for our trip. We tried them on at the store, and really liked them. Found them on sale online (www.altrec.com, I believe), and ordered them there. They are nice because they are made to get wet, but they still offer some toe protection (in case you get stepped on).

If you are going with a tennis shoe, I highly recommend a running shoe. You will find them to be lighter, and more breathable than other shoes (walking, cross-training, tennis, etc). We opted for the sandals though, because they will be cooler still, and if you get wet on a ride, not a big deal. Nobody likes walking around in wet shoes and socks.
