We are heading down to Disney this saturday and weather is not looking great for the week we are there. What are the best shoe covers for the rain? Nothing worse than wet sneakers!

I make sure I have two pairs of shoes for every WDW trip. One to wear while one is drying lol. I even bring a third light weight pair (or padded sandals) to walk around the hotel if I'm where it's dry. I have not been successful at keeping feet dry, and don't find crocs to be sufficiently padded for all my steps. PSA: If you bring a second pair make sure to break them in first, even the exact same purchased shoe might need a little breaking in before a long walking day.

They also make activated charcoal shoe deodorizers that will function as a dryer. Not as efficient as an electric shoe dryer but my wife and I have found that this helps. Running shoes and wicking socks help move moisture away from your feet and will dry quicker. I agree about two pairs also.

I would recommend bringing Chacos, Tevas, or another hiking sandal for wet days. I will also bring a spare set of sneakers to use for following days if mine get soaked.

If you own Keen type hiking sandals, they are the best for rainy park days. Great support, and I pair with smart wool socks - they dry fast, no blisters! Or a friend wore her aqua aerobics Rykas, again, good support, drain- made for water!. If you must wear sneakers, bring extra socks in a ziplock in your park bag and change often. Wet socks= blisters. Or they have thise satin liners hikers wear with their socks that help with the wet blister situation. Also bring an extra pair of shoes, so one can be drying and you can alternate. Stuff with newspaper to help dry and make use of your hairdryer.

Okay, this thread makes me feel better because I bought these and thought I was very weird. But I love all my shoes and I don't want them to get soaked/dirty on water rides! 😂 Will slip them on right before and take them off after. I read they work but don't last very long, but people have used them on trips for rainy days and I only need them for trip. $15.

I won't win any fashion awards with these, but hey!

I have these and they work surprisingly well. No leaks at all and my shoes are completely dry when I take them off. I usually get more people impressed by the idea than weird looks lol.

Awesome! Good to know. I bought a pair for me and my husband. :)

I hate wet feet and love these good ideas. These shoe covers used to be called galoshes. My dad and grandparents always had a pair until they seemed to stop making them. It's good to know that they are back - and maybe better than ever!
