I know i debated about this a while ago, well its playing on my mind again esp as January is only trip for next year as I'm going camping in the South of France with my parents and DD for the Summer so i can only afford our January trip.

Well ive been doing calculations and by the end of October i should have enough money to upgrade to the DLH if the have any rooms left that is. I think i deserve a treat and could be my Christmas present to myself.

So fingers crossed i will have the money to upgrade. I really have my heart set on this and i have been a extra good girl this year

If not i will be more than happy in staying at the SL.

Hummm I duno, wouldnt what your paying extra, pay for another trip later in the year? as i would do that instead.
It might just be me but the unless it CC DLH doesnt really appeal at the price it is loool

personally I'd save the money for something else nice...

To me, the Pink Palace has some really nice features but, almost all of these can be experienced without having to pay the money and stay there (the restaurants, the bar, the shops etc).

The SL in winter is a really nice hotel and there looks to be very little difference between the SL rooms and the PP rooms, so I'd save the money and do something different with the money.

But that's just me

You see i was thinking of saving it and putting it away for another trip or something else.

I think i will see what happens at the end of October when i have the money. Also im going to check out the DLH in September so i guess then i will know if im going to book there.

The DLH is so much closer....and it will be cold in January.....you could pop back to your room so easily....it could be worth the extra (I love helping other people to spend their money!)

I kinda got to agree with ya, there is nothing worse than walking back to your room last thing at night in freezing temperatures.... you kinda end up walking like a cowboy... or is that just me?


BUT me being me I would rather save for another trip rather than splashing the cash on the posh hotel ... but then again we are only in our hotel to sleep and wash ... oh I can still feel that lovely feeling when you take your clothes off to jump in that lovely hot bath ... instant defrostation (is that a word? ) ... sorry kinda side tracked there!

Emma, would it really be worth it for you? If I spent that amount of money I would stay there all day taking photos of the bog roll and stuff you know? .. not wanting to miss a thing!! ... if you don't mind me asking is it alot extra to upgrade?

I say go for DLH. I'm doing CC in January, can't wait to nip into the warm (without a 10 minute walk!) and snuggling up in the lounge with a hot drink, whilst still watching the magic.

Don't think I'd go for DLH and not CC though. Even though I could get a free night....

Fair point!

I can't really affor 3 days (off work) so it almost suits me that you cant get free nights in CC, otherwise I wouldn't be able to turn down the free night!! Lol.

I quite agree. we also wouldn't use the room very much, plus DB's disabled pass means that we wouldn't get as much benefit out of the VIP fastpass as most people would. Our other problem is that we travel as 3 adults and 1 child who don't have a combination for sharing 2 double beds. So, we either need 2 rooms, or an extra expensive family room at the Pink Palace, which gets very expensive very quickly.

The problem with things like CC and the Pink Palace is that the more of you there are, the more expensive they look because disney charge per person and not per room for their packages

Thats why being a single parent its sucks sometimes, having to pay supplements and all. This is why i need to find a nice French man who i can shack up with lol.
