Do you guys do matching shirts or have shirts made to wear on board? what day or for what occasion do or would you wear them for? My mom said to wear them when you board the boat...what do you think? :confused3

Hi!

We had matching shirts for pictures. We're big Atlanta Braves fans and we had shirts made with our names on them.

I also did Christmas pictures one year. Had all the grandkids with us and had green shirts for the boys and red shorts for the girls. We had Christmas ornaments on them with their initials.

One year we did formal pictures with everyone coordinated in the same color dresses and all of the guys in tux.

We doing our 30th cruise next year and I'm thinking that shirts to board and pictures would be nice.

We wore matching shirts the day we boarded. The rest of the time no. Our disboard group had a design made to put onto green shirts for the sea day. That was neat because you could easily spot others from the group on the ship.

we have done matching shirts when we have boarded.

we have done tye dye shirts for the character breakfast

Also for formal night pictures, we do our Steeler jerseys instead of "nice clothes". We use the all white background. the pictures have been great. This year we have Penguins jerseys.

I have seen a lot of families with matching tshirts for pirate night too.

Yeah we're doing matching shirts when we board and I can't wait. I'm going to have shirts made for us. Of course, I have no idea what design but I have until October to figure it out:cool1:

We wear matching shirts pretty much every day at WDW. However, DD11 requested that we not wear any on the ship. I think she saw the Dream as her opportunity to do her own thing and not be with us all the time. Our dinner clothes always coordinated for pictures, but during the day everyone could wear whatever they wanted to.

We (and that's an assorted group as I've traveled with different friends/family) have always just 'color-cooridinated'. One family cruise we wore white tops/shirts with tan bottoms. My brother's MIL decided to cruise with us and apparently they didn't tell her about this plan. But she wore a lovely blue/aqua flower pattern dress, so we put her in the middle for the photo and it turned out quite nice!

We wear Mickey or Minnie shirts when boarding. I saw some super cute ones on eBay but we never did order them :confused3

Great ideas! I have a friend that embroiders, so I found the cruise ship and wanted to add some wording and such on it.

Oh yes! Matching shirts for our whole group of 7 as we board!
Then the kids have coordinating outfits for almost every day of the cruise.
So much fun!

When my children were younger we used to travel with several other families. One time a friend and I took our then five children to Sea World of Ohio on a summer day when the place was packed. We dressed each child in striped polo shirts and matching shorts, each in a different color. They were easy to spot, and we got a lot of comments on how people could tell we were together.

Later, we took eight children and three moms on a variety of day trips to crowded places. We all wore the same Tee Shirts, (some we made specail, some we already had from VBS at our church), and it was, again, easy to keep track of everyone. As they got to be teens, they objected to this "dorky" way of traveling, but as the responsible parent, it made my life a lot easier! Now, of course, tee shirts are a wardrobe staple, and they all (young adults - youngest is 20!) think matching Tee Shirts for an event is great!

I love seeing family groups dressed similarly. It's being proud of being in your family or group! Enjoy it while you can. I am hoping for a family reunion in the next few years and we will definitely be wearing matching shirts!

We wore cordinating clothes on our boarding day for our last cruise. We had 4 teen boys with us (2 women) and two of the boys wore red polo's, two wore black polo's, I had a red blouse with white polka dots and the other women wore black capris with a white polo. Our boarding picture looked great! We looked all Disneyfied even though they didn't feel too overboard standing alone.

That's just awesome :)

So, here's a not-so-formal shirt. We had a great time making them. The professionals can't do any copywrited stuff, so we did them ourselves.
