are they allowed in the parks?
I was looking through DH's clothes to be packed and he has a Corona shirt ... I thought I read somewhere that they weren't allowed in the parks? Is this right?

They are allowed.

.

If you wear a shirt with the name of Disney's rival parks, be prepared to have it pointed out! ;)

I have worn my favorite corona tank on several occasions and never had a problem.

There are no rules for clothing in the parks. I always just remind to be aware of "rude" comments as there are lots of young kids...but I don't think a beer shirt would be offensice. The only thing is that you do need to have a "real" shirt in the restaurants. Some poeople will try to wear a bathing suit top or something like that.

There are rules regarding clothing in the parks...but I don't have the link handy to the "official" word.

I'm sure someone does, though. ;)

It's more of a common sense type of thing, which seems to be lacking nowadays.

Actually, there are some rules:

What is the best way to dress for a day at the Parks? Is there any clothing that isn't permissible?

A. The Parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the Parks.
It is an important part of the Disney experience that the Parks are family-friendly. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense regarding your attire in the Parks. Attire that is not appropriate for the Theme Parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to:

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as an actual character
Masks (unless you are dressing up for a particular event)
Easily visible obscene or objectionable language or graphics
Excessively torn clothing
Clothing with objectionable material
Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
Objectionable tattoos
An adult or older Guest is allowed into the Park if their hair and/or make-up has been done to resemble a Princess or character (e.g., after a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeover) provided the Guest is not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character

I am actually pretty sure that they will ask individuals wearing a shirt with cursing on it to turn it inside out or wear something else. They also just modified the rules that you ARE able to wear formal wear - before you could not.

Costumes are now allowed for anyone at any time but you can not cover your face with a mask.

Also, Disney is a shirts and shoes establishment. You have to wear a shirt in some form. Some people will wear bathing suit tops but they have to be in good taste. Girls wearing string bikini tops are immediately asked to put on a shirt anywhere outside water rides (not just at restaurants).

To always be safe, here's what my son's school district said about proper school attire. I think it fits everywhere.

Do not wear any shirts that advertise anything that the wearer cannot do legally.

They are fine to wear, however...... We were at the Character connection behind a girl who had on the dark blue Corona tee with the name splashed across the front of her shirt in BIG letters. They positioned the characters to cover up the word on her shirt. (Think arm sticking out to block it.) So the handlers took the extra time for each picture to make sure it was not 100% visible. Its an image thing is what the handler told us, especially since it was only her in the picture with the character.

I pack Dhs but they are small on the front, like on the pocket with the picture on the back.

They sell beer in 3 out of 4 parks.
They might even sell foreign beer shirts at Epcot.

So yeah, beer/liquor logos would be fine.

Raglan Road in DtD sells LOTS of Guinness shirts. DH wears them to the parks all the time.

Beer shirts are fine. When I worked at MK main entrance we were told to stop any guests trying to come in with any profanity on their shirts (including FCUK shirts), or guests showing excessive skin.

If the shirt pictured Mickey guzzling a Corona, you might have more of a problem..;)

I’d settle for a Harpoon IPA at Fenway and Manny Delcarmen NOT blowing a 5 run lead.

I'll have what he's having! Love the IPA and the 100 Barrel Series :thumbsup2
