Shirt problems...

First of all...I printed out the art onto transfer paper and it just would not stick to the shirt. I mean it stuck in places....but it just bubbled up in other places and ended up looking horrible.

So at risk of ruining all 15 of them...I took the transfers that I had already printed and the freshly washed shirts to a tshirt place in the mall (4th one we tried, most wouldnt touch Disney stuff).

After making us reprint all the images onto the kind of paper made for Dark shirts....He transferred all the art onto the shirts and they ended up looking really good (except for the white ones). They do feel a little papery/rubbery though...and I bet they will only last one wash. If they get stretched, the transfer will probably tear too. He charged me $6 a shirt just to transfer them on. For 15 shirts that I paid $4.50 each for, this was more than I wanted to spend.

Also, the background of the white shirts yellowed badly on 2 of them and just a bit on the other two...we plan to try soaking them in Rit Dye and just coloring the whole shirts. Not sure it that will work or not.

What I want to know is....WHAT did I do wrong?

I used Transformations - Design & Iron - For Dark Fabrics transfer paper and shirts from Walmart.
