Shipping?

We are taking a short trip to Disney in December and will be flying down for the first time instead of driving. What is the best/cheapest way to ship purchases back? Just at the register? Or at the resort in one big shipment?

Most the time, larger packages ship cheaper with UPS and FedEx. So I would lump them all together. Just remember to save all your receipts. And I'd suggest having all packages sent to the Resort, then at the end of your stay, go and fill out the paper work for it all together.

FedEx Ground -- it's the least expensive, plus, unlike regular mail, they will ship directly to the resorts.

From the resort, not TO the resort.

And you are only limited to what Disney offers, which I believe is FedEx. You might have a choice of Priority or Ground. But I don't remember too much about it.

OK, FROM the Resort, then...

• Take a blank FedEx Ground shipping document with you on vacation (you can pick these up at all FedEx Office/Kinko's stores)
  
• Fill it out (you can make payment through any credit/debit card, or your free FedEx account, for added security)
  
• Call FedEx to schedule a free pick-up from your resort's front desk (or, you can drop-off your package at any FedEx Office or Office Max store)
  
• Done. Easy.

The one thing about letting Disney pack it and ship it, is they'll replace any broken items. As long as the merchandise hasn't left Disney's hands. Disney will take responsibility. That's why I say don't pick up any merchandise from the resort pick up until you're ready to ship it. Although I would talk to a Disney Merchandise Manger about it, just to make sure.

In either case, make sure the box is insured for safe delivery home.
