Shipping to resort

Is 2 weeks out too soon to ship a package to the resort? I'm ordering something that frequently goes out of stock and want to get it while it's available, but don't want it to get lost if I ship it too soon.

ETA: also, will the package be in my room or do I need to go pick it up? (Staying at the contemporary, if that makes a difference)

I don't think two weeks out is too soon to have an item shipped. When ordering, write "c/o Your Name & Check-in Date" and the package will be held for you. You'll be able to retrieve the package at the CR's convention center. Of note, Disney does charge a fee for package pick-up. I believe it's around $5 per package.
