We are at T-Minus 34 days and counting!
Every year, I typically ship a few items to our villa to keep down the weight/bulk of our suitcases (diapers, wipes & formula, mostly) and encountered no issues at WL or SSR. However, last year at BLT, even after I called to confirm, we were socked with nearly $35 in fees to collect our boxes (we had 2 sent from Amazon.com and my sister sent a small goody box to surprise our kids). We were told that all packages are dealt with by the convention center @ CR and that they are a separate entity from WDW and charge fees for packages. Just for clarification, I have packages sent Prime (2-day) shipping and coordinate them to arrive within a day of our arrival - it's not as though they sit for a week waiting for us.
However, today on the phone with a CM discussing a few other items of business, this came up. She insisted that there is NO fee for packages as long as a person's confirmation number is included on the "ATTN" line of the hotel's address (which I ALWAYS do) and that once CR personnel see that it's a resort guest, they'll hold the package behind the desk.
Can anyone verify this?
