Shipping to and From WDW

Okay - silly questions. With the added cost of checked luggage, I thought I would ship a couple of boxes to wait for us at our resort. What is the best way to do this? How do I ship them home without a lot of hassle?

i was wond4ering too!. Dfi wants to buy one of those custom bats and was curious to know how to ship it home.

I was thinking of ordering water and having it shipped to resort

Depends on where you live - for us we have found Fedex to be cheapest.

We've shipped packages down - at home you can shop around easily for a good price. Fedex/usps/ups have shipping calculators online.

For shipping from WDW to home - a couple of choices. The cheapest/easiest we've found is the Fedex office on Apopka-Vinland Rd. over by Steak n Shake. If you have a car its a really easy drive off property - just a couple of blocks. Save up all your souvies and ship everything home at the end of your trip. Alternatively, the Contemporary and Coronado have 'business centers' and they can ship packages for you, both Fedex and UPS. We found them to be a little bit more expensive for some reason, but not unreasonable.

Overall it was cheaper than shipping at the time of purchase.. I think the way that works is based on total amount spent, and not size/weight of package.

We have shipped to the resort once. I figured out what I wanted to ship and then went to UPS.com and used their calculator to help figure out how much time it would take for the package to get there. We live in the NW and it took a week (ground shipping). I labeled the box with the resort name and address and also put our names and arrival date (NOT the ressie #). The box arrived just before we did, and we picked it up after arrival from bell services. It was pretty easy.

We only shipped items that we would not have to ship back, so I can't really tell you how to ship back home, but I'm sure they could do it for you at the resort gift shop. Make sure to pack some packing tape to reseal your box with.
