can anyone who's done this at the Polynesian help me with a few questions. What did you put on the box? Did you just address it to the Polynesian c/o yourself, or did you go further and put your check-in date or Res #??

Is there anything else I should do before I ship off a box?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

I shipped a package to myself at the Polynesian this past summer. I shipped via UPS. Don't ship through the US Postal Service. Anything through them goes to Disney's central mail processing and it holds up the delivery. UPS will drop the package right to the resort.

I addressed the package as follows:

My name
c/o Disney's Polynesian Resort
The resort address (something Seven Seas Drive)
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
My reservation number# 12345678

UPS gave me a receipt and a tracking number. I shipped the package about 5 days prior to our arrival day. The box arrived the Friday before we did - we got there on a Monday.

It worked out great and all you have to do to get the box once you're in your room is just notify bell services.

Hope this helps!

We've been told to put the guest's arrival date on the box, as well (or actually, instead of the reservation number).

Bicker,

Yeah, I totally forgot about that! We did put our arrival date on the box as well. Thanks!

Thank you! Yes that was very helpful! I was wondering if I should ask the front desk or bell services. Thanks for the quick response!

We just got back and I did this for diapers, formula and wipes as well as some snack for our DS11 months. I shipped it on Wednesday from IN via FedEx Ground. (They were the cheapest, 36 lbs for $14) The packaged arrived on Friday (I verified with Fed Ex before we flew out). When we checked in, they sent the box up with our luggage. I was told by the CM when I called WL direct to please place the guests name on the top line and be sure to write "Hold for Check in on 00/00/0000" They prefer that over the Res #.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!

Oh Yeah....make sure to call the resort and get the 4 digit zip code extension, they told me it lessens the confusion...not sure why but it appears each resort has their own 4 digit ext.
