i had heard that you can fed-ex or ups your purchases from wdw to your house? how do you do this? is there a fed-ex or ups office on wdw property? how does this work? we're trying to stick to one carryon per person this trip, and think it might be worth mailing our goodies home. any info would be great! thanks!

I believe that you can ship it from the front desk of your resort or Downtown Disney. We had a security issue at the airport and had to ship something from the Disney Store in the airport. I don't know if that is an emergency thing or if they do it all the time. :confused3 You can do Disney with just carry ons...we do it all the time! We do a load of laundry while we are there, which would allow for extra room in the carry ons. Have fun!! :cool1:

We've shipped pkgs from AKV Kidani to our home. We shipped stuff from our home to the resort, so we were able to re-use that box.

My DH took the box to the front desk and they prepared the UPS airbill for him. I believe there was an extra fee in addition to the shipping fee, but it wasn't outrageous.

We've shipped home before and never had a problem.....price was still less than paying to check a bag on many airlines.

:thumbsup2 Thanks OP for posting this, I too had this question. Has anyone shipped from the All Star Music Resort? There will be 8 of us going and two of us are toddlers, so we do not want to have to pay outrageous baggage fees so we will be shipping stuff to the resort, just wondered about shipping stuff from it, as well. I would like to ship all the souvenirs we buy as well. I will be shipping packing tape and labels in with my stuff to the resort so I do not have to worry about finding that while we are there.

I have shipped from any store and from the resort.

A benefit of shipping is that if the item breaks in transit, you can contact Disney and they replace it! Try that if it breaks in your carry on!

If you go to ship your souvenirs on the last day from your resort, be sure you have all of the receipts from when you purchased the items. A few years back when I went to ship things home, the people at the counter needed to see the receipts before they could pack the items and ship them to my home. Not sure if they still require this, but it would not hurt to make sure that you had them all together....

thanks for the tips! we're also staying at all star music. thanks for mentioning the labels and tape, i would have never thought of that. i'll be sure to have my receipts ready if i end up having them pack everything at the resort for me. i guess we'll just end up seeing what we buy! shipping is also a great option if you buy a snowglobe(my mil's favorite) because you can't carry them on the plane because of the strict liquid regulations

Once, on the first day of our arrival we went to DTD and I purchased scrapbook items and gifts for neighbors who were watchng my cats so I shipped it driectly from the store where I purchased it and I had no problems. We also shipped from the merchandise store in our resort, it makes it so easy for luggage check-in etc.
