Shipping package from USA to Australia

Hi all don't know if anyone can help. I am from Australia and have now been to the USA 3 times(love the place would love to live there) and have fallen in love with some of the childrens clothes like Gap and Childrens Place but they do not ship to Australia. Does anyone know of a relavtively cheap way to possible get the stuff shipped via a usa mailing address and onto Australia as all the ones I have found on the internet seem very expenses. Any help would be great.

Did you make any friends while in the US? They could collect it and send it on to you?

When I lived full time in the US, I used to send things to NZ quite often for a friend. She ordered the items and when I received them, I would go to the post office and resend them via USPS Global Priority Mail (now just USPS Priority Mail, since they dropped the domestic/international distinction) which generally offered the best value as far as shipping went. There were catches as far as maximum sizes though, so I would generally repackage clothing into smaller boxes/padded envelopes. Sometimes I'd have to split things up into separate packages, but the costs were always cheaper than sending a large box as freight.

How about looking on ebay? My DD loves Gap trousers for school and when she grew out of the ones she bought last year whilst on holiday I bought 2 brand new pairs on ebay.com and had them shipped over here.
