Shipping luggage to ports outside USA

For those who have cruised out of the country or who might know: I was wondering if I could send luggage for a cruise to a port-of-call city outside the US (like you can do at Port Canaveral). My cruise is a Western T/A from Dover to NYC.

If so, what do I have to do? If not, any suggestions of how I can get extra suitcase to ship?

Another couple and hubby/me are arriving 10 days before our cruise sets sail to do an organized tour around all of Great Britain. They, the tour company, only allows 1 luggage pp and no more than 50 lbs. each. That's gonna be tough because we will be total out of country almost a month. I honestly do not know if we can do even the ONE suitcase per person AND buy souvenirs along the way. :confused3

Thank you in advance for any and all responses.

Dover storage? I found this from2010

Euro Change on Town Wall Street the main road towards the sea front. I believe it's around £2.50 per day to leave each bag, which is quite a good price. And is also Open daily: 0800 - 1800

Address & telephone number:

Townwall Street, Dover, Kent, CT16 1JR

Tel: 01304 210949

You might be hard pressed to find a luggage storage service. A hotel might do it for you if you have rooms with them, but like you mentioned 10 days is a long time, and even doing laundry, yikes! You can always buy another suitcase for your trinkets, just don't put them all in one suitcase for your return flight home, I would hae for that one suitcase to go missing!

I’m asking because I would like to send my FE gifts, and other exchange things ahead; and not have to worry about toting them all over GB.

Thank you for the phone number, too!!

Are you booking a hotel independently for the night before the cruise? You could probably send it to them to hold. I've had good luck having hotels hold stuff I've shipped for me.

Have you looked into the cost of international shipping? It could cost $300-$1000 depending on what and how you are shipping your luggage. Based on shipping cost I could buy some clothing, some inexpensive luggage and have a hotel clean all the rest of my clothes.
