Shipping light saber

Does anyone know if you can ship a light saber home that you make at Star Wars. I’m flying home and would prefer not to have to take that on the plane. Does it break down to fit in the suitcase? Thanks for the help.

The light saber is TSA approved for carryon, we confirmed with the cast members before our purchase. We went through MCO security with no issues. My son stored the hilt in the original case in his carryon suitcase, the blade was carried separately sticking out of his backpack.

Both times I flew home with my savi’s saber- I put the hilt in my carry on under my seat, and propped the blade in bag between my seat and wall (in window seat) - no issues from TSA nor Flight Attendant

I shipped it from the gift shop at my Disney resort, which was AoA. $18

my son made his early in our week. We returned to HS and shipped it at the droid depot a few days later. We also shipped some hand towels purchased there with it. Don’t remember cost, but it was relatively cheap. Get insurance if it’s offered; ours was not packed well, though it did arrive intact.

Does anyone know if you can ship just the bladed of a Savi’s saber? We would take our hilts in our carryon. Not sure if they’ll do it since it’s part of an item, not the whole thing.
