Shipping items to resort before arrival

Has anyone ever shipped items to the resort beofre your arrival? We are
going in Dec and with the luggage charge we'd like to take as little as possible...we have to bring diapers and all that fun stuff...I was thinking instead of taking up valuable luggage space with these items I'd ship them sown....I was thinking that I had read/heard of people doing this and putting the reservation number on the package...anyone done this or know if it's ok to do as long as it only arrives a day or 2 before our arrival?

I did this last year. I even even used Diapers.com for free shipping. I had to make it 50.00 for free shipping but I just added some juices which came in handy. We flew with only 5 or so diapers b/c it was a two hour flight so about 5 hours of traveling time!! You can call your resort for the address put your RSVP on your shipping label and it works out fine. They will hold it for 5 or so days before your trip. We even sent a package on our own with some of the DD's favorite snacks!
