Shipping Items Home?

I know many of you have shipped items to DVC, however I am going to have items that I will need to ship back to Massachusetts while I'm at BCV.

Has anyone ever done this?

Would I just go to Guest Services?

If you're talking about items purchased at WDW, I believe they can handle that at the time of purchase. If you're talking about shipping items from your room that you simply don't have room for on the trip home, I'm not so certain that WDW can handle this for you.

During our recent trip we shipped all of our purchases home via UPS,shipping can be done at the front desk for going rates.The front desk will supply all necessary shipping items.The CM,s were very helpful and our items took 4 days from VWL to NJ the week before Christmas.

Will it matter if they are not purchases?

We are getting married in Melbourne and I'll have things like silk flowers, unity candles and I'm considering shipping my gown home as well.

I'll have it all boxed, just need someplace to ship it from.

Okay, okay for the question - I don't know that answer but hey - I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you

I know I just read a post (within the last month) that said there is a main UPS center in one of the resorts - but hey if you could get the front desk from AK to help - go for that - more time for "honeymooning"

I shipped a box of Christmas decorations home just last week from BWV. I had a box but forgot the packing tape. DH took the packed box to the Business Center around 8:30am on a Sunday morning and they taped it for him. They also waive the 20% fee for DVC members. They put the shipping charge on our resort bill. I would call the Front Desk to see if BCV where to take the box.

I don't have our box back yet but we have shippped from their before. Never a problem.

Also, I don't know if they have packing materials. You would probably be wise to take a box, packing, and tape with you.

I shipped a box home from BCV and took it to the front desk. They add it to your bill. They will do the packing for you.

The 20% fee that someone else mentioned - I don't know about that one from BCV - think I will check to see.

Thanks Claudia! Perhaps the best thing would be for me to call BCV ahead of time, but it's nice to know that it can be done.

AEG- YOU BET there will be a trip report! But I'll warn you though, I was an English major and constantly being reminded by my professors that the assignments were 6 pages long- NOT 12!!!!!

We shipped stuff down and my son, the shipper, had a return label all set to ship home. When I called the front desk at OKW to ask where I could ship it from they said they could handle all of the shipping process right at the front desk. So next time I won't stress about getting stuff home.

My wife and I are experts at the art of buying to much stuff and having to little space. We ship from BWV convention center..they are great doesn't matter what you have they can ship it. Fedex most of the time it works great.

Just take everything to the front desk at the BC and they will ship it. This past Oct. we had bought 4 place settings of dishes at an outlet and couldn't take them home on the plane. We took them to the front desk and they gave us a big box and we packed them but they didn't have anything to seal the box. So they took the box in the back. I worried that we would never see the dishes since the box wasn't sealed when we last gave it to the clerk (I'm paranoid about that kind of stuff.

We filled out a shipping form. I was so worried that everything would be broken or it would get lost. The box arrived a couple of days after we arrived home and nothing was broken! We shipped it "ground" so that takes longer. I think in all it cost around $20 or so for the shipping.
