Has anyone packed and shipped a box ahead of them to be waiting for them at their resort. We are thinking of packing extra diapers, snacks and a few escentials. How far ahead do you ship, how you ship, and how does this work for your arrival?:confused3

Yes. We shipped UPS. I went to my local UPS store and asked them how many days it would take them to ship it down for me. Once I had a time frame I planned my shipment with several days to spare in case of any delivery or weather slow downs that might hold it up. I addressed it to myself care of the resort we stayed at and put on the box when we were scheduled to arrive. When we checked in we told the CM we had a box shipped, she went back into the office area to look for it and had it sent to our room. It got there before we did :cool1: . It worked great and I will do this regularly from now on.

Yes, we did that last year...shipped diapers, wipes, snacks, sunscreen....etc. We did it through UPS. I checked on their website to see how long it will take and shipped it so that it arrives the day before we got there. When we got there, they knew there was a package waiting for us and had it delivered to our room. We stayed at The Contemporary.

we did the same thing, had it timed to arrive the before we did at pop century. When we checked in the guy went in the back and brought out our very large box!! It was totally worth it and i would do it again. I was nervous beforehand but it worked out great :wizard:

We didn't ship...we ordered everything through www.gardengrocer.com. It was sooooo convenient! You order online and they deliver it the day you want within 2 hours. If you are not in your room, your hotel will hold it for you. They will even put your cold food in the fridge! I highly recommend it!

We have shipped boxes down for our last three trips. Such a life saver. I start gathering items for the box about a month before the trip. Snacks, sunscreen, toiletries, swimmies and a tube for the pool, little things that you may not think of when you are packing right before the trip. Last time I planned ahead and had made a list of everything we sent before the last trip. Little things like band aids and neosporin and extra glasses and contacts, that I often forget. Very easy to ship via UPS, plus you can track your package online, and you will know the minute it arrives. We go to Disney every year, and I can't imagine not shipping down ahead of time. Last year we even shipped down a case of water. Have a great trip. Also last year we shipped the same box back home after the trip, I had packed packing tape and a label in the box, kept the box in the closet, packed it with our dirty clothes, taped it up and took it to the front desk, where they were happy to help ship via UPS. Then we were able to have room in our suitcases for all our souvenirs.
