Nope, can't imagine anything that I can get here in Canada that I can't get nearby in Orlando. My son has severe celiac, and first time down we brought our own Gluten Free foods, but we found great sources down there quickly (mostly from Whole Foods). I can't image anything that I would pre-ship that i can't get there quickly and easily. WalMart and Target are nearby as well, so I would rather but cheap appliances than ship. If you are shipping because you are worried about finding something there, let me know, I can probably guide you to an easy shopping option. Vistana is very well located for shopping.
Assuming you are flying down, keep a close eye on the package cost vs. the overlimit baggage charges. Just for laughs, I went to www.canadapost.ca and used "Find A Rate" to price out a 2 cubic foot box at 5 KG (about 10 lbs). Your cheapest option is about $45. Double that if you intend to ship it back too...
From home? Or mail-order from US to US? We have done the latter often, at tons of different hotels, and never had a problem. Great way to avoid the hassle/extra costs of having, say, LLBean delivered to Canada.
there are some things that are available in USA that we can't get here in Canada that I'm rather addicted to. Whenever we go down, I drop ship to whatever hotel we're staying at and there is no problem with the front desk holding it for us. Stuff like energy drinks that have certain flavours only available in the USA. The challenge after that is getting it back home with all the packed luggage and extra souvenirs.
