I am thinking about shipping a package to our resort a head of time. We are a momma, daddy and a 2 1/2 year old in Diapers. I am thinking of sending down diapers, wipes, desitin, single size laundery detergent, fruit chews, fruit cups. But I would like to know:

1.) If you shipped something down early, what did you ship?
2.) How many days before your trip did you send it?
3.) What do I put on the address box so they know that is is mine?
4.) Did you have enough room in your luggage for souveniers?
5.) Do you think it is worth it to send stuff early, we are using Magical Express to get there?

Any questions you can answer would be great.

Thanks!

We sent a package to our resort last May. I use UPS so we could have a tracking # and a signature of the person who received it. It worked out great for us. :thumbsup2 We flew Delta and used the ME and didn't want to rent a car or use a taxi so we sent down things like breakfast cereal, chips, popcorn:: popcorn, all kinds of snacks that we wanted to eat on through the week. I called our resort and asked them how to address the package and they told me to put the address of the resort % my husbands name (because our reservations were under his name) our arrival date and reservation number. We sent it about three days before we arrived so it would have plenty of time to get there. When we arrived we told the CM that we had sent a package down earlier and they told me they would locate it and send it to our room. After about three hours I called them and they told me that there was only three delivery drivers and that the package was on the truck but it was taking a little time to get there. :rolleyes1 I'm not sure why they didn't keep the package at the resort when it shipped. I guess they sent it to storage until we arrived. Long story short, we received our package later that evening which was fine. I will most definitly do this again. It saved a lot of time not to mention money. I packed a small suitcase for my DS I didn't put too much stuff in it so I could transfer his things into one of our larger suitcases and use the smaller one for souveniers which worked out great for us. Hope this helps. Have a great trip!! :wave2:

I shipped a case of water via Staples Office Store... and.. it only cost 5.00 for 24 bottles of water!! Free shipping! Just join the free rewards card!

Anyways... it was waiting in our room when we arrived!

We shipped a package on our trip in May. It worked out so well we will be doing it again in Nov.

1) I shipped DS's swim diapers, water shoes for the kids, their glow sticks and breakfast items. Maybe more stuff but I can't remember now!LOL
2) I believe I shipped it 5 days before. We arrived on a Sun. I used UPS so I was able to check at their website how long it would take before I sent it out. Then once I shipped it I was able to see it had arrived and I printed that info and took it with me. It also only cost about $15 to ship!
3) I wrote the resort name, address and "hold for" DH's name(ressie was under his name) our ressie #, and arrival date. I wrote it on all sides of the box!
4) We got boxes from the front desk of our resort(SSR) and shipped all our souvies home via UPS!!!! It was so easy to do and the stuff arrived about 2 days after us. We had a tracking # too!
5) We also used ME to get there and have 2 kids and a stroller to lug around. So I would say it was definately worth it to send the extras down ahead of time!

This time I plan on sending down some bottles of water, snacks and breakfast items.
Hope that helps!

you may want to consider a grocery delivery service like gardengrocer.com. it would probably be cheaper than shipping it if they have what you want available.
