Shipping a package to and from the Fort

We're camping/flying, and I can't remember if I shipped a box ahead of our trip last time, but I 'm pretty sure I did.

Is it acceptable to ship a box to the Fort with a few consumable items so we don't have to pack them in our luggage? (Diapers, hot chocolate packets, coffee, etc?)

Also, can I ship small packages FROM the Fort if I bring prepaid postage labels with me?

Does anyone have the address I should use to ship packages if it is still allowed?

Thanks!

Don't ship it through the Post Office... Here is why... The US Post Office does NOT recognize Disney streets, any and all mail being sent to Disney through the US Post Office will go to the PO Box (regardless of how you address it) as the post office does not deliver to Disney directly. From the PO Box it is sorted into sections and then specific locations before it is delivered out to property. This can take quite a bit of time.

UPs, Fed Ex, DHL, any kind of courier service will deliver directly to the hotel. My suggestion would be to get the package ready and send it out about 7 days prior to your arrival (you can send it further out if you like they will hold it). If you give yourself enough time you can ship it ground service which is the cheapest.

As for who to address it to you would want to address it like this:

The name of the person who is the LEAD name on the reservation (may not be you, but it is easier to find that way)
C/O the hotel you are staying at/ Front Desk
The address of the hotel
And put HOLD for guest check in and the date (you can put the res # too if you want, but it is not really needed).

So it would look something like this

John Smith
C/O Disney's Wilderness Lodge Front Desk
Hold for guest arrival 4/02
901 Timberline Drive
Lake Buena Vista, Fl 32830

Here is a list of the resort address' (again this can ONLY be used for courier services, US Post office will not deliver to the property directly)

All hotels are in Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830 (Except Animal Kingdom Lodge which is Bay Lake, FL 32830).

Here's the address for the campground:
Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground
4510 N. Fort Wilderness Trail
Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830-1000
As the previous poster mentioned, make the package c/o yourself and put the check-in date on it. We routinely ship our luggage to the Fort without problems. I prefer FedEx. Have never had a problem shipping to the campground. However, the front desk will not ship home for us even with pre-printed labels. So, we found a FedEx store not all that far from Goodings and take our bags there to ship. If you have a car this will work best for shipping home. We have on rare occassions taken our bags to Wilderness Lodge and they have shipped them out for us. BUT they shipp FedEx Express only....very expensive!

EpcotQueen-Just out of curiosity, how much does it cost to ship all of your luggage ahead?

TCD

The suitcases each weight about 60lbs. Average total for the 2 is $70 through FedEx Ground. (I pack for all weather contingencies and do not do laundry while there.)
