Does anyone have any experience with this? I have thought about sending a gift package to our resort as a little suprise for our arrival day... Will I have any trouble doing this? Does Disney ever not receive the package or have problems keeping tabs on where the package is at? How soon can the package arrive before check-in? Is there a way to guarentee delivery on a certain day/time to the resort?
TIA!!!

We do this every Christmas. We use UPS and have it arrive about a day earlier than check-in. They don't like to store the packages.

You just put you arrival date and reservation # on the package. I would contact them first and see if that's how they still want you to do it, things change all the time.

I just did it two weeks ago....they (WL) said not to put the reservation # on the pkg. Just put your name, and their address on it and when you check in, tell them you should have a pkg waiting. Actually, when we checked in, they already knew about my pkgs and told me they would bring them up shortly....and they did!!
Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time for it to get there...I had to 2nd day air it because I thought UPS was quick...not so!!

Using FedEx/Kinko's. We shipped our Halloween costumes and other stuff in a very large box, via FedEx Ground which only cost $15.00. It got there the same day (took 6 days including a weekend) we checked in.

We stayed at Old Key West. I called them directly and they told me to address it to the resort with my name as attention to. They also told me to put "Hold for arrival" on box, which I did.

When we checked in, the box was brought right out without any mention of it from me. Great! We then shipped it back home from the concierge desk (cost $15.00 more) but it was worth it!!

We do this every trip - usually twice a year. I have never had a problem using UPS. I always put our arrival date up in the left hand corner. This helps the guys in the mail room know where to stash it until we arrive. We have never waited more than 20 minutes for room delivery. We too use the same box(es) to ship dirty clothes home. It saves so much time and we love it.
