Shipping a box to POFQ

Has anyone had experience sending a box to POFQ prior to your arrival? If so, how far ahead did you ship? Would you recommend this? I'm thinking of doing this but want to be sure it's a wise move!!

i've shipped a couple of times to different resorts at wdw. both times i sent a couple of weeks prior to our arrival. i just made sure i called the resort and asked the mailing address i should use, and wrote on the outside of the package "hold for smith family, arrival-___________). when i checked in i just asked for the box and it was delivered to my room.

I shipped two boxes to the GF. I shipped them about two weeks ahead of time and wrote our arrival date and confirmation date on the box. They were waiting for us when we arrived.

I shipped the girls costumes, stuffed animals and things like spray fans and light spinners and it worked out great.

You shipped them two weeks in advance??? Did you just use the postal service?? Or UPS or fedex?? I think I'm going to go ahead and do this but I wasn't going to send it until next Monday - it's a 3 day point from me and that gives it one extra day without worrying about it getting there Saturday.
