Ship makes a stop a PC - what time will we arrive at DW?

I am not having any luck finding any information. We are taking a cruise on the Magic and it will make a stop at Port Canaveral for the day. The itinerary shows 'Ashore - 6:30am'. I heard/assume there will be buses taking us to the different parks (because we get Hoppers).
Has anyone taken a cruise that stops at PC at that time and do you remember what time you arrived at the parks? I'm curious if we would be able to make a CP reservation for a time before the MK opens. :thanks:

I have not been on this particular cruise, but I do live in Orlando and have driven from PC to WDW many a time after our cruise returned. :)

It is an hour drive from PC to WDW property. This might fluctuate by 15 minutes based on traffic etc.
If you catch one of the first busses, you should reasonably be there by 8 AM to 8:30 AM at the latest. I would probably schedule reservations though for after 8:30 AM to be on the safe side.

Thank you! I assume you don't know because you live in Orlando :) but do you know how difficult it would be to catch one of the first buses? Thanks!

we were on one back in 2012, from what I remember, we were on a 7am bus to HS and were at the park before gates opened, and had ridden toy story before 9am- we made it to all 4 parks that day, went on 2-3 rides in each park and made it back to the ship for the late night buffet! It was a long but fun day. By the time you make it through customs and ride the bus over, it take at least 90 minutes.

if I remember correctly, we had to sign up for a bus time/destination. There were lots of times to pick, so of course we went with an early time. Walked off ship, through customs and onto bus early- we had room service breakfast first. Shouldn't be hard to get an early bus. Check when you sign up for excursions. That's where we picked a bus time

I am sorry, but I really am not familiar with their process for that excursion.

I have done excursions before on various cruises I have been on, and I know there would be a specific meeting location on the ship for those going to WDW. When I have selected excursions, there were time segments available to choose from. For example, in St. Thomas, if we did zip lining, we would be given different time options to choose from (9:30, 11:30 etc)
I can only imagine they will stagger the departures of those who choose to go to WDW that day so that they are not overwhelmed.

Have you done online check in yet and chosen excursions/times yet?

Thank you! This is helpful!

No, we have not. We have a little over 6 months to go. Thank you for your help!

Well that is good to hear. :) You will be ready to select a time when your online check in starts.
Have a great cruise and a fantastic visit to WDW. I hope you get the time and reservations that you want. :)
