I meant to watch but missed it!
For those who watched, would you say it was similar to The Avengers in level of violence (lots, but not gory or twistedly disturbing), sex (just some banter), and language (a few mild words)? Or was it more adult than that? My tweens enjoyed The Avengers and hope to watch SHIELD.
IMO, it was very similar to "The Avengers" in its audience suitability - maybe even a bit more low-key.
I remember one fight scene at the beginning where the agent was in Paris, & I commented in a joking manner, "That had to hurt." During that same scene, either my DD or older DS winced a couple of times & said, "Ow!"
But there weren't any gory or "disturbing" scenes. No sex either, & I only recall a couple of words. (And they were mild.)
An explosion or two, some guns, a couple of threats, one agent was thrown into a wall, one agent was kidnapped, a guy kinda had a "hulkish" sort of temper... plus a couple of witty lines & some fun banter. All very "Avenger-ish" on a more limited budget w/ some new faces.
You have to remember - it comes on at 8:00 pm on a network channel, so it's not going to be as gritty as the 10:00 pm shows or a cable show.
My 2 older kids enjoyed it - they're 13 & 12. They loved "Avengers" & also liked "SHIELD."
I didn't love it-love it, but I liked it.
