I was on the ship with you and was following along on Mozart's thread and the "getting ready" thread too. I can't wait to hear the rest. Can you believe we got 2 days at Castaway Cay, talk about a wedding gift. We were in 8584 and my in-laws in 8582 and they had Colin and Rufaro too and well, so did we by default - long story. They are FANTASTIC! Congrats to you and your family and I can't wait to read the rest . . .

The first sigh of relief came when we boarded the ship...At that point I figured that we had them. Besides how could anything get out now...All we had to do is keep it going one more day. All of the invitatons were being delivered on Monday night. So only one more day.

You may ask, how do we distract them from trying to figure out something was going on? Well, you have a 60th birthday for mom...That's how.

But, I'm jumping ahead. We haven't even gotten to the Sail Away yet. Right?

If you are teary eyed already, wait 'till you see the wedding pictures...The ship's photographer, Rhe, did a GREAT job...

So nobody thought it was strange that you invited your dad and his wife to you mom's 60th bday party????

although it is different... it is very convenient. my parents and their spouses do this. my paternal grandfather would eat dinner with my mother and her husband about once a week!! my father and step mother go to my mom and step father's house for festivites (witha group of course)... everybody gets along... most of the time

See what you did Joel? We are all now addicted! The anticipation is killing us! Then when you have finished weaving your web of excitement, every detail shared (well, almost every detail), every photo viewed, every ooh and ahh uttered... then what? Huh? You didn't think of that part, did ya?
What are we (your fans) suppose to do then? I guess someone from the group is going to have to step forward and re-marry their spouse. When they're done, someone else will step forward, and so on and so on.... it's just a vicious cycle.
Just look at the monster you created by keeping "secrets"! I hope you're happy!

Seriously, I do hope you are happy for the rest of your life. You have a beautiful wife, adorable children and the most romantic heart that will keep this marriage alive and well for decades and decades to come. Congrats!

I can honestly tell you that life has been extremely hectic since returning home...Work has been relentless...Anyway, where was I? Oh yes...The life boat drill..How much fun is it to stand outside with a plastic and foam device snugly around your neck, when you know there is a frosty beverage waiting for you in the fully stocked bar? It's terrible. Cue the guy with the unruly 1.5 year old..."Oh Sir, I see he's uncomfortable...You may go." there truly is a GOD!!! Sorry dear, I'll meet you back at the cabin (SEE YA!). Yes, I abandoned my wife and other children for the quiet confines of the suite and a nice cold adult beverage.

The Sailaway Party was nice, not overdone, but nice...Seemed to be the same as before...But I can honestly say I was paying more attention to my kids to see their reactions. They loved it (well 2 of them loved it) as you can see in the photo.

our departure was ueventful in the sense that we made it out of port with none of our party anymoe aware of what was going on. Our dinner the first night was similar. We enjoyed the show and went for an after hours drink. The kids each enjoyed their clubs. My youngest who is the flirt found his girlfriend right off of the bat...

I think he likes brunettes...and that's ok...Well our first night is over, time for Nassau and the "BIG SURPRISE!!!!"
