Hi all! A quick post as I head to lunch. Just received a text from Sarah... Waiting for the pharmacy script ... Trial is on track.... Just wants the drugs do she can take them, fast an hour and then she can EAT!!

AND, they were able to get a room at an Inn close to their home for today thru Saturday!!

And you know that must mean she will have INTERNET (besides the other good stuff)

My kiddos are off today too! And I have +1 (one of DD8's friends slept over). It looks so cooooooold out there right now!!!! Frost, frost, frost!!

But I will do my civic duty at some point this morning...and walk all 3 kiddos up to the school, in the cold to vote.

Yep, YEP! Jeanette... if you guys get your request at Tokelau, that is such a SWEET location. It's close-ish to both the GCH and to the TTC. We had a nice GV room which overlooked the Quiet Pool on the 3rd floor. You can walk out the end of the building and right onto the beach.

So I got to "redo" my Online check in...............

I know! Wish we all lived close by ... then these commiserating wine sessions would be much more fun. Or we could even attempt Lapu Lapus!

Then I could FINALLY have enough peeps to drink the Poly punch !!! Oh I wish!!!!

Trick or treating was FUN BUT CHILLY!!!! DH came home we trick or treated then he had to run back because we lost water in the county...right as we sat to eat He came home at 5a and went back at 7a Miss Katie was up with a fever and cough Everyone is great today!!

It is still a mess, the leuding...which they say is not happening..IS..down trees and lines are still everywhere...hope tomorrow's storm doesn't knock out the progress

Jeanette, Dani, and everyone else up in NY/NJ. What are the NEED items for donations? My kids school as well as our temple is sending trucks up this weekend and we are trying to find out what is really needed. We have been told not to send anymore clothes, but to send first aid items, cleaning supplies, and school supplies. Is there anything else ?

Heavy coat, mittens, hats...Diapers, wipes, formula are BIGGIES that I have noticed Melissa. That's very sweet of you and your community!!!

Got to the doctor yesterday, back on track. Had a really tough time with the drugs yesterday, expect today to be much better .

No power trucks in sight but snagging the hotel room was huge. We have it until Saturday, then they are booked for a wedding, but it should get us over the hump. We can ration our propane and hopefully make it until we get power. AND there is not a power truck to be seen in our town

Can't begin the catch up at this point but

Ok, asking for some opinions from other "changers". So far I've gone from Swan to Pop, to Dolphin, to BWV, and now back to Dolphin. Thing is we still have our BWV reservation and I can't make up my mind. As I see it there are a couple issues. One is ME. We have a lot of medical "stuff" we carry with us. Over doubles our luggage amount (total of 4 large suitcases, large rolling cooler, and carry ons.). My daughter also has her wheelchair, but can transfer fine and walk short distances. Anyway, all of that makes ME factor in more than the "you could get a town car" argument because we would never fit and her chair does not fold. We could, though, rent a van service or use Mears. There is the 2 beds at Dolphin vs a bed and the sofa bed at BWV. The other big difference (maybe, maybe not) is the level of customer service. Typically we get about 4-5 deliveries fed ex overnight of meds etc from our pharmacy here in Wisconsin. We also will get oxygen delivered, but that is a one time thing. I've not been overly impressed by my communication with the Dolphin on their ability to handle this efficiently and they are not willing to waive the fee for delivery so $12/box would be charged. That is OK, policy is policy, it was more their attitude about it. So then it comes down to cost. If you add transportation, resort fee, and box delivery there is an $800 difference. I'm going with a friend who is helping me with my dauters care so my portion is half that. We will be there 10 nights so $40 apiece per night is the difference.

I'm not sure this is even the right place to ask my question, but given we keep changing and these are just the big things as there are all the little details too and frankly it comes down to I just change my mind a lot

Any thoughts? This stay at BWV is a cash stay through Disney as it was cheaper than BWI which is my dream resort so it was as close as I could get to that dream, BUT the $$ has me thinking. I'm also to the point we have to cancel one or the other then there is no turning back since the Disney room-only promotion is over and Dolphin is booked to capacity 4 of our nights.

YIPPEE!!!!! Pioneer Girl is back. Does this mean you'll have some milk now for your coffee? What in the world is going on it NJ that FEMA or some other entity can't get the power back on in your neck of the woods? I'm so sorry, but I'm relieved you had medical attention and a hotel room with internet and power. Maybe someone will cancel from the wedding and that will open up a room for you or something else nearby could be booked now for Saturday on?

I hope you have a much better treatment day today. We really missed you and are so happy to have you back online
