Thank you, that's good to hear.:goodvibes
It will be the first time there for my DH and 2 DD
I think they'll like walking to Epcot. I know the older one will now that's she's legal. :rotfl:

Is the daybed alot smaller then the one at the Polynesian?

Not sure, but it does seem smaller. Maybe that's just because the BWI rooms are smaller than the Poly rooms, so I just have this sense that everything is smaller at BWI! But I'll know for sure after directly comparing them back-to-back in January!

My girls all loved the Phineas and Ferb adventure at Epcot! We did it twice but they really could've done it all day at Epcot. It was a great way to see little nooks and crannies of the countries that we had not noticed before. Hmmm....I feel like I have mentioned this before! If I have I am sorry for repeating myself! :goodvibes

Mousemommy - Are your girls into World Showcase? When we stay over on the Epcot side we like to spend our evenings enjoying a country in depth. For example if we did Germany:

Drink for adults - Beer
Snack to share - Hot Pretzel and Bratwurst
Kids color at Kidcot and get their Passport stamped
P&F Mission (haven't done this one yet but they did the KP one there before)

I agree with iheart and jenny regarding the World Showcase plan! World Showcase was too busy for this last week with F&W - we were really there for MNSSHP. But in January, we'll be back to our regular Epcot touring. That means a grey goose slushie for me and a mission for the boys (previously KP, now F&F!) I just think these missions are a great idea - really allows the adults to enjoy World Showcase and slow down a little while the kids are having fun. It's so Disney!

Miss - Osborne Lights are definitely a must do! They are amazing! pixiedust:

Just warn your DD about the snow. Before I could warn them, my boys opened their mouths to catch the falling "snow" like they do at home and got mouths full of soap :scared:

Also, I saw on the actual WDW site that they are scheduled through the 6th. I know the other sites are showing the 4th, so I'm not sure who to trust but I thought I'd give a head's up either way.

MM - Are you guys okay???

:eek::faint: Is everything ok?

We are fine! But, being from NH, we are NOT used to earthquakes!! DH and I were putting dinner on the table and DH was on the phone with DFIL...the whole house started shaking!!!! And DFIL was yelling on his end too...I mean....we live near an airport and sometimes the planes come in low, but I thought one had crashed with the violent shaking and the noise!!!

Apparently, it was only a 4.6 so fairly weak!?! But to us New Englanders it might as well have been a 10.0! :rotfl2:

It made my girls cry though...:sad1:

We just had an earthquake!!!!!!! :faint:

Whoa! Just read about it on CNN. All of you okay? :scared: Our teeny-tiny one a couple of years ago made me accuse my husband of jumping on the bed. :lmao:

Thanks for the Osborne review, too -- we'll make it a point to go see them. You know what would be missing from my neighbourhood? A lighted Santa takin' a whizz off a chimney -- classy lot we've got around here. :rolleyes2

I type so slow... missed both of your replies. :crazy2:

LOL, same for the people around here. Ours was around 4-ish, enough to freak the locals out... and make me yell at my husband. Your poor kiddos.

Oh, thanks for that! Hmmm. Think I should trust the Disney site itself? :rotfl::scratchin If they stay up until the 6th, it actually would maybe-sorta change up which days we go to the parks (only HS & Epcot). Wonder if I should call and ask...

Also thanks for the warning about the snow... now, I might or might not share this info depending on how good Miss M has been earlier in the day. :rolleyes1

I think they were more scared because of the reaction of DH and I who were all :scared1::scared1:

Hi everyone! I am posting from my hotel in Atlanta - quick one night business trip. Getting ready to watch the debate.

And it's not actually regarding a resort change!!!! :lmao:

So, I am pondering our rough itinerary for our 11 day trip in April, and I really want some suggestions of NEW things for us to do as a family.

I think we are getting to the point that we have gone soooo much, I'm not really sure what else to do.

Already, we will be trying some new restaurants -- Plan to book at Yachtsman Steakhouse, Be Our Guest, Cape May Cafe.

We are obviously trying a new resort for us - BC!!!

But as far as experiences...what have you got???? We have done BBB, Pirates League, CRT (twice)....most of the character meals....

I was thinking doing Pick a Pearl in Epcot, maybe the Phinneaus and Ferb thingie (my girls LOVE that show)...how about the shows at AK?? We've done neither of them (Lion King or Nemo)...suggestions??? We will check out the Boardwalk area, which we've never done...

I know you guys talk about the dessert party....that would be new...but we're not a huge dessert family so I'm not sure the expense would be worth it...

Help!?!?! Trying to keep it fresh here, but it's difficult with this being our 4th trip in under 3 years... :cutie:
We ended up doing new things in each park this year which was fun considering it was trip #6! Plus we did several new restaurants. We loved Cape May breakfast!

MK - MNSSHP and pirates league (those don't help you lol but you will have new Fantasyland!)
Epcot - circle of Life movie in the Land ( not sure how we missed this before) TT will be refurbed though!
AK - M_______ Jungle trek. Not sure the name because I missed this day unfortunately!
HS - American Idol Experience. I have never wanted to do this but dd13 picked it so I went along. It was GREAT! So much fun and I couldn't believe how much I was like he show!

I love the sound of that plan, I_Heart. Forgot about the coloring and the passport, going to write that down so I don't forget to do it in January. :thumbsup2

Marie, Melissa and Jen: :grouphug:

Marie, glad to hear of your planning... even if it's not for yourself at the moment! :goodvibes

Jen, yay for new tickers!

don't miss them! Love the Osborne lights!

Okay ladies, I am sitting here with my laptop, iPad, a grown up drink, bruschetta and some yummy toasted chips. Now time to catch up!

i_heart I am so sorry to hear about your sister, medical mysteries are the worst!!! You are all in my prayers!! I understand what you are saying about change, but I think there will be something truly magical watching the fireworks over the castle on NYE. My vote is to keep the CR part! I guess I am lucky that my family can live without CL ;) DS did inform us the other day that suites would be nice, like we do on the cruise, LOL! Sorry we will stick to our non suite, non CL rooms for now.

Linda Hello to you at the BWV!

Jeanette Just to let you know November can be iffy, but usually gorgeous. We had one weekend in November in Disney that we were very bundled. Just watch the weather and plan for layers. As for the Aspie meltdowns, they seem to be frequent lately, which is unusual, UGH. I think I am going to follow your lead and cancel the dessert party. You crack me up with the shredder!!! Whenever DH walks by and I have the reservation open I quickly change the page so he doesn’t see how much ;) Oh and I too saw the other post about WL, you are too funny!!! Just keep Poly for the girls!

Basketlacey I was trying not be to tempted by the dessert party either, it was just the idea of having a private place to watch Wishes. I know the planning is hard, you will end up booking what is right for your family. Same thing goes for you as Miss, if you need me to pick you up a PIN this weekend I would be more than happy to do so :goodvibes

Miss Love your PIN board!! If you cant find what you are looking for online, let me know, I will be there this weekend and then again in Dec. We aren’t doing any of the parties, but I can see if I can find what you are looking for.

Sarah Have to always send waves and good thoughts to you !:grouphug:

Kook Just antoher thank you! I called yesterday and added “no connecting rooms” to our WL resie this weekend. Now I just need to add that to our other 2 CR resies. I think I can wait a bit to add that to April ;)

Jen :grouphug:Just big hugs! We had another life getting harder call today….but you know what I am picking myself up and knowing that all I can do is get through it and look forward to tomorrow.

Debrn Welcome! And I feel your pain, I am desperately wanting to change our WL trip this weekend to YC, but the kids are looking forward to the bunk beds so I MUST NOT CHANGE!!!

Pixarmom I laughed when you said used to fit at WL, we are finally fitting at WL….DS(19) doesn’t do Disney anymore, so we can finally fit into a room that holds 4, it seems surreal ;) DH seems set on no GL, Poly, or BC…so I think no matter how much DD begs, he will shoot it down. I have to say we are sooo looking forward to our trips to CR, I never thought we would do it, and as long as DH doesn’t find out what we are paying all is good ;) I am already dreaming of sitting on the balcony watching the EWP and a couple sun rises as well! I saw your pics on the CR thread and got me looking, but CL isn’t available (or at least with a discount) for our Dec trip and it looks like CL just isn’t an option for Jan. So I guess we will just have to slum it in our NON CL BLV room, LOL!

Ginny I am counting on my RC’ers to keep me going during recovery  Thanks for letting us know about Gartner, I was working around it this year and then somehow ended up at WL instead anyway. Oh and I was LOL about the serenity prayer….it truly is my favorite and find myself saying it ALL the time! Good luck to you!!!

Candace Good plan waiting on the bonus! If you go Poly CL for the whole time I mayhave a harder time finding you than just going YC CL ; ) My FB blew up with the earthquake….my whole life is up there. Glad you are all okay and just a little shaken up. I remember my very first earthquake up there, I was little and in the bathroom brushing my teeth, scared the crap out of me!!

DznyCrzy Welcome! We just spent a weekend at YC and absolutely loved being that area! Had dinner at BC, took the ferry over the Boardwalk to entertain the kids, and loved being so close to Epcot and DHS. If you are looking for something different, I highly recommend it!!!!

Well stopping here to do the evening rounds of meds. But I will be back and try to finish catching up.

Melissa

Okay lets see how much farther I can get tonight….

Marie Glad you are starting to feel a bit better, and have a few future events to look forward to. I think helping family is a perfect way to still be close to Disney right now, but have it not directly affecting you. I hope the job works out however YOU want it to! Full time or part time, you have to do what is right for you ::yes::

Miss We love the Osborne Lights! I try to make it a must do every year!!! There is even fake snow and seeing as we don’t get the real thing I love it :p

Not much more but it is something! If I missed anyone, I ‘m sorry. Hugs :grouphug: and Happy Thoughts:goodvibes to all!

Melissa

Melissa: WOW I bow down to your catch up post!:worship:

I don't know all the details of what you are dealing with right now health wise or life wise, but you sound like such a positive and upbeat person. Thanks for all the kind words.

Our family too has never experienced CL, and may never!! It takes enough $$$ to get us there as it is!!:rotfl: But hey, you never know what the future may hold!:goodvibes

Hi Miss! Thanks for the hug!

Miss- we really enjoy Osborne lights, usually go a couple of times T'giving week. It is fun to wander around looking at all the little touches.

We did the phineas and Ferb thing when it was Kim possible and had alot of fun with it, remember my boys are teens. They are looking forward to the updated missions :)

Not sure, but it does seem smaller. Maybe that's just because the BWI rooms are smaller than the Poly rooms, so I just have this sense that everything is smaller at BWI! But I'll know for sure after directly comparing them back-to-back in January!

Thank you! Those big rooms are just aother reason why we always stayed at Polynesian. I know the rooms are a bit smaller at BW but it shoukl work out. January can't come fast enough! :)

We just had an earthquake!!!!!!! :faint:

Good to hear everything is ok.

The Osbourne lights are amazing!! I wish it was still going on when we get there on the 9th.

I just popped in yesterday, don't want to interfere with anything.
I give you guys alot of credit for following your friends posts. That's dedication when you're multi-quotes are that big!

Hi Miss! Thanks for the hug!

We had a suite on our last cruise, so we were entitled to CL, but barely used it. DH doesnt eat breakfast and my kids just kind of graze, and since we are there for such a short time I can't justify the cost. But I think if the price was right at CR I may splurge just one time :faint: Thankfully its not available for our CR stays, LOL!

Thank you for your kind words, life is full of ups and downs and my motto is "It is what it is". I was just as the Fresh Market and the man at the fish counter said my smile just woke him up and made his day  Little does he know I already had my moment of tears this morning. Don't get me wrong I definitely have my woe is me days where it takes all I have to put on a pair of clean sweats and hair into a ponytail, but no matter what my day brings, I am thankful that my family is here and healthy :goodvibes

Not interfering at all.....all are welcome :wave2: You are making me cringe about our WL room this weekend though, I am already feel clausterphobic knowing how small the rooms are  The kids really wanted a weekend there with bunk beds but it is taking all my will not to change back to YC! Thankfully I know our next 2 trips after that will be at CR and we will have plenty of room to spread out. Then I will be missing the space again in April when we are at YC, but at least it wont be as small as WL ;)

-------

Okay off to pick up DD at school and take her to the eye doc, had to move her appt from Friday since we had to move Disney and I dont want to wait and try to take her after my surgery. So eye doc, Old Navy to use our 40% off, a quick lunch then back to school to pick up DS.

Hope everyone has a great day!!! :goodvibes

The four of us did not feel claustrophobic at all in the WL room. We felt we had plenty of room. Really, I don't expect a huge difference in size when we are at the BC...there can't be THAT much of a difference!

I'll let you know this weekend ;)

Me three.

I was trying to get some of my mother's estate paperwork finalized and my mind wandered and somehow I found myself lurking over here. Oops.

Better get back on track as the boys will be off the bus soon and I'm knee deep in paperwork.

ps. I'm feeling really CR -ish again so no changes will happen for today. Of course after reading all of the Poly talk I'm feeling a Poly-ish too but then I'm always feeling that way. :hyper:
I felt CRish yesterday too :upsidedow

Hope you got through the paperwork :flower3:

I can see a couple more trips in my future at least -- DS 16 just handed me his DGF $250 last night and asked me to put it in a special account for her because she has a tendency to let money wash through her hands like water, and they still want me to take them after they graduate in 2014.....so, I can see that trip being something to look forward to. Then, DH and I have our 25 wedding anniversary in March 2016.....But I'm beginning to think about perhaps even going back to where it all started for us -- Disney Land for that milestone?? I haven't been back since 1990 when DH/then DBF took me on my first trip outside of Canada!!! we drove 24 hours straight to aneheim and went to DL.....so it might be nice to see all the new happenings at DL......
At least I'm happily considering some options to Disney again....for a bit there I wasn't sure of my Disney future!! that felt so wrong, and foreign!!! I am glad to have my happiness back when I think of my beloved Disney!

Also -- I'm in my planning groove again, My DH's cousin from England is planning his first trip with himself and his boys for May 19-30th, 2013....He found out what a Disney buff I am and dropped the ball in my court to help him get a good deal....so I've been scouring the UK site and trying to learn my way around how to book internationally....it's been quite a learning curve, but I think I found him a pretty good deal for Animal Kingdom Lodge, bunk bed savanah view....now deciding whether to go club level (can't book that online though, which is a problem I'm trying to figure out to get a quote for club level add on cost) -- or Deluxe Dining/ no club level.
It's nice to have someone to help plan for -- if it's not myself , loved ones are the next best thing!!

Things have been hectic at work because I've gone through another partner! so I am back to Full time --ughhhh......you all know how I like my part time schedule! It's hard to go through postings, interviews, training and hiring only to have people quit after a short time! I've gone through 3 different partners this yr. alone. People go onto bigger things, but I love my little job! I have a new boss in 2 weeks, as our business mgr is retiring after 35 yrs. of service, and the new boss came to meet me the other day and asked me "don't you want to work full time???" I said , that wasn't an option as this was a job share position -- but I'm open to possibilities. She said, well, it's something we might look into if the job share thing keeps being unsuccessful -- maybe reclassifying me as full time! Now DH was jumping for joy and adding up the extra pay last night already when I mentioned it to him -- but I am not sure yet what to feel if that is offered to me!! I like my hours but I'd have a hard time turning down the extra money..... I guess we shall see what the future holds!
I wanted to let you all know I am here and thinking of you all -- so excited for those still planning!
hugs to my friend Jenny, sorry to hear about the scare with your Dad. I am glad it's working out!! yes, roles changing can be a daunting thing. Know we are all here for you if you need to talk , we care so much for you!!

Love to you all!

Marie
Marie  We miss you!!!! I was :rotfl2: about your DH adding up the $$$ for full time...

SO glad you're back in the planning mode..BWI Deluxe for 2014!!! Definitely, especially since that was the other option this past trip!!!!

Thank you for checking in!!!!!!!!!!! I think of you often ::yes::

And it's not actually regarding a resort change!!!!
There is so much to do Candace!!!! I am sure it won't be a problem...I love the WS ideas!!! Our peeps rock :grouphug:

I made a new ticker for our November trip, and it has cheered me up immensely! I have a WWYD for you ladies about becoming a lunch supervisor at the DD's school later..
Oh Jen!!! A new ticker!!! And you'd be the bestest lunch lady EVER!!!! Your DD wouldn't be scared of lunch anymore :)

Hrm, I need some advice... I just realized that the Osborne Lights will be up until the 4th of January! Is it a must-do? Opinions of you experts appreciatively requested. So, I may have changed to WL CL....

I am confident (right this moment at least) this is the perfect place. It's quiet, not as crowded as the Poly lobby..and they might have the tree up!!!

Last November it was chilly when we went...not Jersey chilly, just fall-like

Just wondering....where is Dani these days???
She's good!!! Working, mommying, she's on Facebook often (I don't have FB of course) last I checked all is well with her...shhh...don't tell her I changed from Poly ;)
