Janet Safe travels.......Have a wonderful trip!:dance3:

Dani Welcome Back!

Hello all
I'm just moving around done adrs and noticed that akershus doesn't appear to be on the regular Disney dining plan and just on deluxe and higher?
Us this right?
That stinks, I guess thats new, we did it on the regular DP...:confused3

Sam and I and my sis are on the train headed south! :cool1: Mickey here we come! :woohoo:
:yay::yay::yay: I LOVE the Cars suites....

So it's midnight and officially my birthday..and soon you'll be at WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am at work til 6am...alone and having a pity party...missing my DH terribly :sad2:

OK vent over~~~ I LOVE those Cars suites..

HRH wrote out our April trip plan

3 Nights BC CL, 3 nights RPR CL, 6 nights WL CL...must be in that order she said
We are home! We had a heck of a time at JFK when we landed. It took them two hours to get the luggage off the plane. As you can imagine, the airport was a mob scene and it took forever for my dad to get to us so we could load the car and get home. I think we are set on an AoA/Poly split for next year! :cheer2: AoA just looks SO cute. We had a blast exploring it over there. I really want a nemo room but I think Danimal is set on Cars. I am hoping for at least 15 nights next year, too!!!

We had a great trip and met lots of DISers. I though August would be way worse than it really ended up being. Yes, it rained almost every day and yes, it was hot and humid, but it was totally tolerable and manageable and I think we are going next August again!
Welcome home sis...sorry the airport was a mess...I always compare Orlando to our local airports, Orlando is SO superior in every way :thumbsup2

Hello everyone. Checking in again. Yesterday at Portofino the electricity went out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was crazy.....:crazy2: We stayed in the parks all day. First we went to IofA and rode all of the water rides. Then we took the boat back to our room and changed from our swim wear. We had a ball BUT, that is when the electricity went out. We went back to the parks and stayed all day. We were exhausted when we got back to the resort BUT the electricity was back on. Today we checked into the Hilton Grand Vacations resort. Our suite is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Newly renovated two bed room. My DH has not uploaded the pictures yet so you will all have to wait for the trip report when I get home. We went to Busch Gardens in Tampa today. It rained cats and dogs for a little over two hours :scared:. The thunder and lightening closed all of the rides and most of the shows. More about that later. Tomorrow is Sea World and then.....Disney.....We are having the time of our lives. My feet hurt...... :goodvibes I soaked them in our Jacuzzi (It's going to be hard to leave this resort.....) :goodvibes I will try to check in again soon. Take care. It will take me weeks to catch up on the thread. Hope all is well with everyone. Welcome to all newbies, safe travels to everyone leaving and those returning as well.
:grouphug:
Step why did you blow the fuse ???? :rotfl:

JK that must have been scary, and DARK :scared1:

Glad you like Grand Vacations, and I think you'll enjoy Sea World..Sorry about the Busch Gardens day

Thanks for popping in with an update!!!!!!!
UGH! Not sure what to do..we have the ressie for Cape May, but it still allowed me to keep the reservation at 50's. DH wants it, I am good for something else. BUt I have read a few reports of the food now at Cape May being not so great as they took some old favs off the menu. Plus the dinner time there is 6:3o pm, prime getting tired and hungry time. How far / long does it take to get from HS to the Beach CLub?? :confused3
The boat will get you to DHS in 15 min (ish) I wouldn't walk it...you do enough walking in the parks...I haven't done Cape May for dinner, but DH says you usually can't go wrong with a buffet ;)

RE: the restaurants only accepting DxDDP, we are having a heck of a time with this info for 2013 clients, but if they accept the DxDDP then they accept the DDP. A credit is a credit no matter how you split it!

Jeanette We had SUCH a fabulous time with you. It really was one of the highlights of my trip. Danimal keeps asking about your kids because I told him HRH was around his age.

This wasn't the first time I had problems with JFK mishandling luggage. I am writing to them to complain about this issue. It was so ridiculous. Planes that landed after us got their luggage before us, and then they told us it was on a different carousel! It was totally not the most magical way to end a Disney trip. :sad2:

We stayed at a Hilton Grand Vacation in Las Vegas and it was gorgeous! We almost bought into the time share but stayed strong. They were trying to sway us by the one in Orlando. Do you own there?

we are doing Cape May for breakfast but havent been before so I can't compare the two. However, it's easy to get from HS to BC via the friendship boats! I am not a big fan of buffets for lunch or dinner but that is just a personal preference. I like the beach attire the characters wear so it will make for cute photos!

Good Sunday Morning all!:goodvibes It is such a beautiful day here, very sunny, not hot...lovely!! DH and I were just discussing the rumors about the bounceback that is at WDW right now. Apparently it is good for the end of Aug to the end of Sept 2013. Not when we want to go!!!:headache:

I keep thinking well...we could move our cruise to Sept and then stay at WDW for 7 - 10 days after the cruise...but then we don't get to see x-mas decorations in November that we want to see. AND the kids would miss way too much school. AND if we are going in May for SWW, that will be only 4 months between trips! People will really think we are crazy!!

DH says just to leave it. He thinks there will be different discounts for when we want to go...but we all know nothing is guaranteed. I just hate it when there are great deals and we can't use them!!!

Dani: Glad you made it back home, that stinks about your airport hassle. Such a bummer already that you have to go home, and then to have extra problems is just  I like the sounds of that Poly / AOA split!!

Miss: What is LTT?:confused3

JanetB: Have a magical trip!!:cheer2:

To everyone else....enjoy the rest of the weekend!!:flower3:

Hannah - did you see that they delayed the Cali Grill rehab to Feb? Do I remember right that you were hoping to get one more trip in?

Dani - welcome home!

Are you serious!? That is fantastic news! :hyper:

After looking at dinner options. The only two that are available are 5:55pm and 7:55pm. Those are the worst times for me because I want to see Wishes. I don't know what to do. :sad1:

Newbie2013 Yeah the disboard app doesn’t show the emoticons, just the code for them, its frustrating. And love DD's name :goodvibes

Janet Have a great time!!!! Thanks for offering to “research” the mango margaritas for me :p

Dani Sorry to hear about the luggage problem at JFK, but glad you had a great trip. I like the way the AoA suites look and think it would be great with the kiddos but we will wait until they are discounted (if they ever get discounted) before we book one.

Jenny I will let you know what I think of Cape May on the 16th, so if you can hold out, just keep both reservations for now and I'll let you know what I think that night. Since we are staying there it just makes sense to try it at least once.

Step Glad you are enjoying your vacation so far even with no power at the Portofino ;) The storms have been crazy here lately, hope you are managing to stay dry.

Jeanette HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY:bday:

I am starting to get nervous about no discounts being offered for our Oct trip and DH and I have said if that is the case then we will just cancel and go another time. We are trying to not really pull the kids out of school much this year so planning on mostly long weekends when they have a Friday or Monday off so that limits when we can go. But since we were going to take them out for a week for a Turks and Caicos vacation (that we have since cancelled) we figure we can take them out for 3 days in Feb so we can actually spend a few more days at Disney. We were looking at Presidents Day weekend, but then I started reading that it is crazy busy at that time and also a peak weekend price wise, so that is out. I am still wavering on Jan at the POR, I am hoping that weekend is heavily discounted and we can grab a monorail resort for that trip. Hmmm, maybe I will just change that now and keep my fingers crossed for a good discount. So which resort would you choose for a quick 3 day weekend in the beginning of January???? Also thinking I should go ahead and book a spring trip as well. DD keeps changing her mind about doing her bday at Disney, this year was the first time she had a party and didn't do BBB and CRT. So should probably book a room for that weekend and then change it if she decides to have a party instead.

Last night of summer vacation is officially here! Tomorrow starts the crazy morning chaos and mommy’s chauffer service back and forth to school :drive:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :wave2:

Melissa

Back to Poly CL!!! I hope am not making a mistake!!
But, I see it like this, we are never going to beat our 40% off. Our discount is guaranteed for this next trip...but whether they will extend it again for 2014 is unknown....so get while the getting is good I guess!

Plus, I keep thinking about how much cheaper a Poly trip would have been last month and it's more expensive for this trip obviously because of the CL but also because we are not going during value season... Oh well! It may never get better than this....and, our CL room per night rate is less than the rack rate for a regular room, so I guess I'll just look at it that way, right?!?

Anyways, here's hoping this sticks! But...a generic ticker until then....

Babyberger - we have gone during Presidents day/week and it was not bad at all!! I mean, our trip before that was during Thanksgiving week which was a mob scene so maybe our perception was skewed, but we loved our Feb trip!! :thumbsup2

Happy birthday Jeanette!

Melissa - I hear you about school holidays and such. We have a short 2day school week in October and I think mine are going to miss those days so we can do a full week trip. Right now, I am booked Mon - Sun but might back it up to Sunday to Sun. We have a four day weekend in October too but I don't think we can do both. Dh won't let me get APs which is probably A good thing lol!

Mm - love the change. Poly is on my wish list! I absolutely love the look and feel of that place!

I think going for the Poly is a wise choice if I ever get a 40% pin again I will be going for my CR TPV why waste it on somewhere you can afford to stay paying rack rate is how I think

::yes::

My thoughts exactly. We would even be willing to do an Epcot resort with only a 15% AAA discount, but probably not a monorail resort...especially CL. So, this is a strategic use of a 40% off, and try something I would not be willing to shell out money for otherwise. :thumbsup2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANETTE:bday:

I guess MM and I were doing the same thing because I switched to the Poly Cl today. I'm sure Y'all saw that one coming.;) I really like the Wl resort. It's just those tiny rooms make me :crazy2:.40% off in value season how do you not stay at Poly. Actually I would have booked GF Cl if it wasn't for that hiddeous construction. Next Sept maybe????

Interline rates finally came out. I booked YC GV Cl for F&G and Star Wars weekend. I don't think I'll stay at any other resorts that trip. :lmao:You believe me right?

I also switched Akl to BW. :sad1:It's so hard for me to stay at resort that nobody else gets excited about. Anyway we're back at our three favorites Poly, BW and BC. :thumbsup2

Time for another ticker change. I should really go to the generic ticker.
