Candace: How about POLY CL this time???? will it be available for your trip dates??? with the renos starting, and CL being first on the list, it might be a good time to try the POLY
Otherwise, I think WL CL is a perfect fit for your family, since you all love it so much! or.....throwing my families favourite out there: AKL CL....WE ADORE it there!!! it's usually our resort of choice, but I'm stepping out on a limb this time for the POLY. If I don't love the POLY as much as I am hoping I will, it will be VERY easy to go back to our AKL CL home ...it's like heaven on earth!

I tell you what....I will see what you come back with the reviews....and if the CL rooms do get a rehab come January as rumored...POLY CL may have a shot here!!!

I guess I won't know about the military discounts until mid-next week when the official announcement comes out...I am just happy to hear that there will be a discount...and it's got to be better than 15% I would imagine. If it's the 40%, I may give Poly CL a shot (with new rooms and all)

Seriously, I will venture forth. WL/CL is back under consideration. I'll probably need to split our stay, and WL would be so fun!

I've also thought about checking on the cottages at BWI, but after the latest intel I read about about the nearby jacuzzi, I dunno.

Any thoughts or advice?

A room just opened up at CR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have waited for MONTHS for a room at CR to open up that was not a ridiculously over priced CL super deluxe suite. Today, a standard view room is available. My DS has always wanted to stay here....since he was in the 4th grade. He graduates in June and will be off to College in August, most likely missing our annual end-of-August trip.. I've been trying furiously to make all of his wishes come true this trip... Now....I'm nervous. Will we like it? Will he like it?? The pool is no where near as nice as SAB. I've made all of our ADR's around staying at YC. I can switch our Captain's grill to Kona or Wave on our resort day I suppose. WHAT do I do?????

Figures a room pops up with 12 days left... C'mon RCers. Help a sister out.

I'm not Karen, but CALL NOW and BOOK IT! I tried for months to get a room at BLT and I finally got one with our discount a week ago and just 3 weeks before we arrive. I switched all my ADRs from YC/CL and had no problem snagging CA Grill, so you'll be just fine. I also wanted CR, but it wasn't available. If I were you, I would book it right now. My DD13 loves the CR and pool and your DS will, too. It's a much more relaxed and mature setting than SAB, IMHO.

I did not expect a room to open up and suddenly....its here!!! My stomach is seriously doing flip flops. My DH and son are in the room now weighing in. My DH says yes and now my DS is saying no, then yes, then "I don't know mom YOU decide."

DS is just confused because you are. The pool has lots of shady areas which we love and is just steps away from the beach. DH loves the pool music soundtrack which they've had for years.

There is a walkway right to the MK which only takes about 10 minutes and you can monorail to Epcot and bus to the others. Only the monorail seems to have some problems/crowds sometimes.

Are you booking a Garden Wing room? Those STD views are of the parking lot and the monorail beyond it. A STD CL view in the Tower is of Bay Lake and that's our favorite WDW view!!!

Just call - your DS has wanted to stay there since 4th grade, by golly, you can't go wrong!

Yes, it did!!!!! The first CM I spoke to had no idea about the discount, saying that they heard it had been extended but wouldn't be active until mid next week....

Quickly hung up with that one and called back, got another CM who applied the 40% with no problem, and I booked POLY CL!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

It's official......

We are going to WDW in April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 1st to 7th Myrtle beach, OK this may turn into St.Pete Beach...

BUT I booked CR BLV CL from 4/7 to 4/13

That's great news! BLV is our favorite WDW view. Has our Jungle Cruiser caught wind of this yet? We can't wait to follow along and see where this ends up

You didn't change WL, RIGHT? I know you're coming off a 24-hour shift, so don't do anything rash.

I know...but I had forgotten that the POLY CL building would be completely rennovated by April, so thought this would be the perfect opportunity since my only concern was room condition....we LOVE WL...believe me...and as DH put it...this the "WL test" trip to see if we love anything as much as WL...and , if not...back to WL we go!!!!

OK, you have some valid points there. In fact, you've got me thinking back to something we once said, if they ever rehab the Hawaii bldg. then we'd consider trying a Poly split again - maybe.
