Sheshule or schedule?

My manager is also British (dual citizenship US/UK) and he says she-shule, but outside of British folks, I've not heard it said that way.

You can't go wrong pronouncing it like Jean-Luc Picard: shed-yule.
How did you know what I was thinking? :confused3

There's nothing about Picard that drives me crazier than his shed-yule's and and other British pronunciations... ugh!

He is good for some things, though; he could get really badly insulted by Q! And the "Mr. Broccoli" incident... :lmao:

Thread hijacking? Who, me? :rolleyes1

Americans pronounce it as Sked-jule. Brits pronounce it as Shed-jule.
It drives me nuts too when I hear it the way the Brits say it :rotfl:

Canadians pronounce it this way also. DH and his father do, I don't think I have ever heard his mother say the word.

Skedjule. :)

British people pronounce it the other way and some Americans think that they'll sound European if they pronounce it that way...like that's so great.

So long as they aren't saying UMbrella instead of umBRELla, I'm cool with it. :)

This is my mom!:sad2: She and my dad went to England a few years ago and now she thinks she's British.

Home Depot(short e)
Chick FilAAAAAA
Shedjul
JC Pennays(with the n like senorita)
umbrella is brellie

Then she was born in the land of the flat accent-south Louisiana which embarrasses her, so
bag is now beg
Dayry Queen

There are a bunch of others. Did I say:crazy2: :rolleyes2?
