Anybody stayed at the Sheraton World resort on International Drive?

Is it any good? How much do meals cost? Is it a good location.

Thanks for your help

PS: Tried to do a search but it kept timing out!

Hi
We stayed at the SW last November.
The hotel was quite nice, the staff excellent.
Location was great, the hotel has a path into sea World.
The pools were very cold, after a week of complaining one of them was heated.
Meals were expensive but good quality. If I remember right I think breakfast was around 12 dollars.
The I ride trolley stops outside the hotel really easy to get about to shops, I think we got a 14 day pass for 7 dollars and just hopped on and off as we pleased.
There are places to eat around this hotel including a near-by Denny's
Hope this helps, Any more questions please ask

:D We stayed there two years ago - and found it just fine for our needs. It's down the "quiet" end of IDrive, access to the main routes (I4 etc) very easy, 15 mins to Disney and Universal.

Our room was good, excellent views of Sea World's fireworks each night if we were back in our room for 10pm:D It really was only a 5 min walk to Sea World from our room . . . superb for going back to the park for the evening shows:)

Yes, I agree the main pool with the waterfall was cold, but the other one nearest our room was lovely. Little pitch and putt golf, children's playground.

We had food from the deli (pizza and the biggest roast beef sandwich we've ever seen;) ) and had brekkie once in the Blue Marlin restaurant (I think) - buffet, kids eat free).

Right opposite there's a little lot with some restaurants - Bennigans (one of our faves); a steak and ale type place - great steaks; and a couple of others. Ponderosa/Sizzler type places only 5 mins up IDrive in the car - but the trolley is very good.

We'd have no hesitation in staying there again if we wanted that area.

Join Sheraton's Starwood Preferred Guests scheme - you get (supposedly) treated a bit better (we did this year at Sheraton Safari).

Shout if you need to know anything else.

Thanks for the replies.

$12 for the breakfast seems a high price to pay. Thats over £200 for the two of us on a 14 day holiday!

Might have to skip breakfast!!
