Hello...just wanted to get any opinions on this resort? We are planning a trip this Nov 29-Dec 7. I was set on a standard room at Hilton Bonnet Creek (to get a slightly bigger room than a on-site)...but just discovered Vistana Villages through a really nice package through Costco. Seems crazy that we can get a 2-bedroom (1100 sq ft) villa for less than a 300-400 sf ft hotel room.

We are a family of 4 (2adults, 2 kids-3&6) and will be renting a car. I doubt we would eat any meals in our room, except maybe a couple breakfasts. I like to feel like I'm at a resort while on vacation. Will I get that feel here?

The pictures look very nice. Pools look good. I know my kids would love that pirate ship pool. But would love any opinions. Thanks!

There is a whole thread on SVV here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2854036

You will certainly feel that you are on a resort. We own at SVV's big brother, Sheraton Vistana Resort, but our first ever timeshare stay was at SVV many years back and that was the spark to get us into that vacation style.

This is a Sheraton resort, and is maintained to the standards of the brand - in other words, expect luxury, fine finishes, and excellent service. Just be aware that it is a timeshare resort and that you will be asked to attend a presentation. But it is easy to decline the offer, and the Starwood salespeople are pretty low key by industry standard.

I also highly recommend checking out Wyndham Bonnet Creek -- across the street from Hilton Bonnet Creek. We rented thru Vacation Upgrades. They were excellent to deal with and you'll get a much lower rate than going through Wyndham directly. We had a 1,300 sq ft condo for $120 a night -- inclusive of all taxes and fees.

Good luck! We really enjoyed the extra space.

We will be in a 2 br starting this Sunday for a week and I will post pictures and an update after we stay! Looking forward to staying offsite and having room....especially if it rains!!

We are at Bonnet Creek right now. Beautiful resort (this is our second time here). I saw the Vistana resort when we went off property and I told my husband that it looked very dated and old. BC is a much nicer looking, modern resort. BC is also on WDW property (right next to the Caribbean Beach Resort) so very convenient to the parks. We went off property to eat a few times and to hit up the grocery and outlets. The roadways are just crazy busy and I was glad the majority of our driving was spent on WDW roadways.

I am sure we will look at other resorts while we are there and will be sure to look at Bonnet Creek....For those of you who have stayed or are staying there did you rent it or trade thru your own timeshare to get it?

We are trading our timeshare for our week and just wonder how many others trade in or just rent?

There are 2 Vistana resorts...1 is much older. The other one, Vistana Villages is supposed to be newer and not as large as the original one. We are booked for the day after Thanksgiving for a 10 day stay in a 2-bedroom. Fingers crossed!

Vistana Villages is a nice resort. I believe that the build began either at the end of the 1990s or early in the 2000s and continued to build over the years until early 2012 when they finished the St Augustine phase (that's the area where the Galleon water attraction is located). It's a short walk between the two largest pool areas (St Augustine and Bella Florida sections) and there's a smaller, area pool at the back of the resort at the Key West section. To keep the rest of the resort up to date, once they finished St Augustine, they started refurbishing other sections - starting, I think, with Key West in late 2012. The resort is located on International Drive, just a short drive from the Premium Outlets on Vineland. There are several restaurants in the area, a short drive from the resort, a large Publix grocery store and a Walgreens just down the road. Relatively easy access, driving, to all of the area theme parks.

We've stayed at both Vistanas and prefer this one over the original Vistana Resort (they're about three miles apart though the Resort is closer to Disney) but we've not stayed at the Resort since they finished the upgrading refurbishment there so I'm pretty sure that that property is now up to par for the villa interiors.

Though our preference of Orlando timeshare resorts are the Marriotts, Vistana Villages is a very nice alternative and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if one of our favored Marriotts wasn't available.

OK we are back and recovered from our trip. I now realize that there are 2 Vistana's and we stayed at the Resort. I don't know why anyone would think these are old as our was completely up to date (we stayed in The Falls) had granite counter tops everywhere....great room size and wonderful kitchen. All of the restaurants were great and so were the pools.

The Marketplace was wonderful and not any higher priced that a convenience store. They also had at least 6 computers that you could use any time if you wanted to update Fastpasses or touring plans. We had some problems with the wifi until we figured it out but once we did we were amazed that they allowed up up to 10 devices for free.

We couldn't have asked for an easier way to get to the parks. You literally turn right out of the Resort then take the next right and you are heading in to the parks!

Plenty of restaurants around and for anyone that is going soon the Cici's Pizza has a great deal right now for a To Go Order. For $5 you get to pick 5 pieces of pizza a dessert and a drink.

Oh and someone had talked about how busy the roadways were. They weren't for us except for the Friday night that we left Magic Kingdom early due to a storm coming and got caught in 5pm traffic. Other than that it was all smooth sailing!!
Hope everyone has a great trip. We loved ours and would stay at Vistana Resort again!!
