Sheraton Vistana Village questions

1. Where it is located? I am trying to find about which area it is in on a map in 2007 Unofficial Guide to WDW. Is it south of Seaworld, and north east of WDW?

2. Does anyone know why this resort is not in the UG? It's sister Vistana Resort is but not Vistana Villages.

3. Does it have any planned activities for kids?

4. Has anyone had problems with smokey rooms since they do not have any designated non-smoking rooms?

5. If you have stayed at both Vistana Villages and Vacation Village Parkway could you please give me a comparison? (UG gives VV @ Parkway high marks)

The "Vistana" on I-Drive, which is the Villages, is from reviews, MUCH better than the one at LBV - and priced accordingly. Trip advisor reviews from the LBV Vistana Resort are mixed.

I needed some help and information on this resort and what it has to offer. Someone who is a vacation owner can also refer folks there for a short stay + presentation and I wanted to find out if there is someone who would be willing to provide us with this reference. Thanks in advance.

We just stayed at the Villages last week on a promotion I got through the mail. It was very nice. We had no complaints. Our room was lovely, clean, and had no smoke smell. We were allowed to check in early and were given a full schedule of all sorts of activities=====arts and crafts, pool games, etc. We did not go to any, but we did use the main pool area, which was great for our kids. There are also a couple of playgrounds if you have small children.

It was about 2 miles from Sea World and not too far from DTD. We did not do anything else, so I am not sure about the other parks.

It was a promotion for 4 nights that was actually supposed to be for the Vistana, but they didn't have availability for our time, so they put us in the Villages.( And gave us a 2 bd instead of 1 which the offer stated.) It was $169 plus $13.50 a night taxes and we received $100 cash when we went to guest services the day after check-in. We could have received $100 more if we had attended the time-share breakfast, but we didn't have time, and there wasn't much pressure.

My dh signed up for a Sheraton rewards card a couple of years ago, and I assume that is where the offer came from. We have never used the card, though.

I would do it again in a heartbeat, but I doubt we will get a chance---I think you have to wait a certain amount of time.

Good luck finding a promotion---we loved it!

We stayed there last March. It was a couple miles away from sea World. The rooms were really clean and I did not smell any smoke. I went with my kidss who are 5 and 7. There were kid activities. One afternoon they had a beach party by the pool. The Activity staff was great. They were so friendly and they all really seemed to love their jobs. I would stay there again in a second. This resort is small and it was very quiet when we went. They also have dive in movies. Everyone floats on rafts and watches a movie by the pool. My DD5 made a sand art project. There was a tiny arcade which my kids also loved. This resort is the nicest place that we have stayed in Orlando. We ate at a restaurant down the street called bahama breeze and it was great.

Distance to attractions from Vistana Villages

Disney World 11 miles
MGM 4 miles
Epcot 11 miles
Universal 7 miles
Sea world 4 miles

The Vistana gave us detailed directions to all area attractions. We did not get lost once. I am really picky and i loved this place. Some people in prior posts complained that it was loud there. I never noticed any noise. We also saw manyt beautiful birds on property. We walked by one crazy looking bird every morning. I would be happy to answer any questions.
