sheraton vistana smoking question

We gave my brother in law a week at the Sheraton Vistana as a gift for his honeymoon. His wife to be is a heavy smoker. We by the way are all non smokers. Anyway, I mentiont that because I don't no the rules of smoking.
I do no that Westgate that we traded the Sheraton for is NON SMOKING and we made it a point to tell bil DO NOT allow any smoking at the Sheraton Vistana, because we assumed as Westgate is that Sheraton is also non smoking. BIL called today and told us he spoke to them at the Sheraton and there is smoking allowed in all of the units. Did he get true information? That just seems strange that they would say they could smoke in any of the units.
Does anyone know?

Your BIL is correct. Vistana Resort allows smoking in all units. It's why my mom won't stay there. We had reservations a few years ago and had to cancel them once I found out. She's allergic.

Thanks for the info. I guess that would explain why there are so many always available for trade. I to am allergic to smoke.
